Abstract: Abstract In this paper, the contrasts between different formaldehyde testing standards were analyzed ,the influences of different formaldehyde testing standards on formaldehyde determination results and the correlation between formaldehyde determination results were tested and researched. It is showed that there are a great deal of differences between GB(ISO) standard and JIS standard of resorcin in water extraction method, that there are a great deal of differences between GB(ISO) standard and JIS standard in vapour absorption method, and that there is individual difference between GB(ISO) standard and AATCC standard in vapour absorption method. It is also showed that released formaldehyde content of GB(ISO)testing standards is higher than free and hydrolyzed formaldehyde content of GB(ISO)testing standards, that released formaldehyde content of AATCC testing standards is higher than released formaldehyde content of GB(ISO)testing standards, that free and hydrolyzed formaldehyde content of JIS testing standards and GB(ISO)testing standards is not too different. The linear regression of formaldehyde determination results of the testing standards are highly significant and well fitting. The research results can supply a certain reference to the better application of formaldehyde testing standards to textiles industry and testing organization.
