Abstract: The electrospinning is conducted with Polylactic acid (PLA) mixed with Tea polypheno (TP) so that the PLA/TP composite nanofiber films have high antibacterial function. An investigation into the composition, antibacterial performance and mechanism of this composite nanofiber films using infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), inhibition zone method, oscillation flask method and Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM). IR spectra results showed that the TP and PLA composited well by combing valence bonds in PLA/TP nanofiber films. The result of antibacterial experiment indicated that the antibacterial perfoemence increases as TP content increases. The width of inhibition zone and against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus are increased from 3.67 and 3.71cm to 5.17and 5.67cm respectively. The inhibitory rate increased from 20.6% and 21.3% to 96.9%and 97.6% respectively. The result of TEM indicated that PLA/TP composite nanofiber films lead to the death of bacterium according to the destroy the integrity of cell membrane.
