Abstract: According to the results of the field study and the principle of protection priority, a new protective overall which is specially improved in waist, knees and openings of sleeve and leg was designed and made of selected material. Ergonomic trials were used to evaluate the properties of the garment. The contraction of cartridge peats in waist makes the overall fitted when halting and squatting with straight body. When slightly bending over, the cartridge peats make an average elongation of 2.5cm for this part and a maximum elongation of 4.6cm when crouching. And all of these elongations are limited to the controlled variable. In terms of sleeve and leg openings, the new overall is designed with triangle cut piece and sealed by zip. Its function is same as the common elastic sealing in skin cover and much better in comfort. Also in limb activity limited, the new overall makes a difference in all the parts in the related experiment, which means it can provide a better motility for the users. This investigation provides a better overall which can satisfy the needs of protection, functional, fit and comfort of oil tank cleaners specially.
