Abstract: This paper tests the sound-absorption coefficient of acupuncture carpet respectively made by jute, ramie and hemp fiber through the method of standing wave tube, and draw a conclusion that jute is very good sound absorbing material. We Select jute as the research object after considering the source, the cost and other factors. Using single-factor experiment, We respectively explore the effect of acupuncture depth and frequency on the sound-absorption properties of jute blanket. Select needling depth , acupuncture frequency and step size as influence factors, We design three factors and three levels orthogonal experiment.. We obtain the optimal process parameters when the absorption coefficient of jute acupuncture blanket comes to the maximum at the low frequency noise in the range of 200 ~500Hz and medium frequency noise in the range of 630 ~2000Hz .

Key words: automotive interior material, needling depth, needling frequency, step size, sound absorption property
