Abstract:
In order to explore the pigment printing performances of waterborne polyurethane modified by hydroxyl silicone oil, polyurethanes containing different concentrations hydroxyl silicone oil were synthesized. The structure of the modified polyurethanes was characterized by FTIR. The viscosity, curing speed, rubbing fastness and printing pattern definition of polyurethane coating modified by hydroxyl silicone oil concentrations were analyzed. The results show that the reaction of isocyanate and hydroxyl silicone oil was sufficient when the concentration of hydroxyl silicone oil was 10%. The water resistance, flexibility and chemical resistance of waterborne polyurethane curing film were excellent while the concentration of hydroxyl silicone oil was between 10%-20%. The viscosity was decreased, curing speed was increased, rubbing fastness was improved, and printing pattern definition was reduced of waterborne polyurethane coating with the increase of the concentration of hydroxyl silicone oil.
