Application of Stearns-Noechel model on color blending of naturally colored cotton

Abstract:

In order to improve the design efficiency for blending fabric of natural colored cotton, Datacolor SF600+ was obtained to test the color date of mixed fiber、blended yarns and interwoven fabric.Predicted the color of loose material group、blended yarns and interwoven fabric by Stearns-Noechel model,and then CIEDE2000 color difference formula was prepared to calculate the color difference of the prediction and the practice .Optimized the parameter of model for loose material group、blended yarns and interwoven fabric.The optimization value of M are 0.096, 0.128 and 0.01,and the corresponding color difference are 1.72, 3.40 and 4.90 CIELab units, thus establish the reflectance prediction model between fiber, yarn and fabric under this experimental condition isestablished.
