Abstract:
In order to improve the amount of nano-silver on the fabric and reduce the aggregation of nano-silver , maleic anhydride modified hyperbranched polymers was applied as template for preparing silver nitrate /modified hyperbranched polymer finishing liquor, and through dipping the cotton fabric in the liquor and steaming for silver ion reduction, the nano-silver finished cotton fabric was prepared. The influence of the mass ratio of silver nitrate /modified hyperbranched polymer on the particle size of nano-silver were studied, the finishing liquor concentration and steaming conditions on finishing effects were investigated. The washing resistance of the finished fabric was tested, and the process of maleic anhydride modified hyperbranched polymers as template to prepare nano–silver fabric were compared with other finishing process. The results showed that the best mass ratio of silver nitrate /modified hyperbranched was 0.17 : 2, the optimal steaming time was 45min, when the concentration of silver nitrate was 0.085g/L, the bacterial inhibition rate of the finished fabric reached 99.9%. After 50 wash cycles, the bacterial inhibition rate was over 94%.Compared to finishing processes of cotton finished by reducing silver ions with cotton itself and the method of succinic anhydride modified hyperbranched polymer as template, the silver content of fabrics finished by succinic anhydride modified hyperbranched polymer as template is high and aggregation of nano-silver is improved.
