Development and evaluation of firefighter’s clothing capable of enhancing heat dissipation

Abstract:

After surveying in firefighting’s bureau, and referring the development area of firefighter’s clothing,the clothing were designed on the armpits and the trousers to give more flowing air inside the garment and enhance the evaporation of heat. Human subject test was carried out. The experiment data was analyzed in mathematic statistic ways. Paired-samples T test was used to analyze the significant difference and compare the ventialation openings’ in two situations: open and close. The results showed that comparied with the condition of closing, the opening condition had more advantages on comfort. The results showed that comparied with the conditions of closing, the opening conditions had more advantages on comfort.It can make the rate of heart beating less than they are closed and make the temperature under the close reduce,above all the temperature of the back and the waist.The heat loss was significantly reduced in the new firefighter’s clothing, the body temperature reduces especially for the back and the waist.
