  • “Journal of Textile Research” (monthly) is an official publication of China Textile Engineering Society, with the international registered No. ISSN 0253-9721 and domestic registered No. CN 11-5167/TS. Under the columns of Research Reports, Analysis and Investigations, Technique of Manufacture and Comprehensive Reviews, it mainly publishes the latest research achievements in the textile field both at home and abroad, academic and theoretical studies, development of new technology, new products and new equipment, comprehensive reviews or comments on the development trends of the textile industry at home and abroad.

    “Journal of Textile Research” is one of the most important academic and technically authoritative publications in the Chinese textile circle, a carrier of study reports and thesis that reflect the top level of textile scientific and technological development in China. It has been included in Ei Compendex and the American journal “Chemical Abstract”, and it is also a national core Chinese journal, and the source journal for “Chinese Scientific and Technical Papers and Citations”, “Chinese Science Abstracts” and “China Textile Abstracts”.

    The editorial board of “Journal of Textile Research” consists of 85 celebrities in the Chinese textile circle including members of China Engineering Society, textile experts and professors,and the youth editorial board is composed of 63 professionals including industry experts and young scholars. “Journal of Textile Research” is dedicated to serve readers from all the sectors of the textile industry, including textile materials, fiber manufacturing, textile processing, dyeing and finishing, garment processing as well as textile machinery and equipment manufacturing. It has attracted a large reader body and it provides indispensable reference and assistance to teachers and students in textile colleges, research fellows in textile institutes as well as technicians and managerial personnel in enterprises in their academic exchange and research activities.

                                                         Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement

    To give a guarantee of high academic rigor and scientific nature of Journal of Textile Research, for all parties involved in the act of publishing (the author, the journal editor(s), the peer reviewer and the publisher),it is necessary to agree upon standards of expected ethical behavior. The publication ethics and publication malpractice statements for our journal are based on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

    For Authors: 

    ☆ The authors should ensure that their work is entirely original works, and if the work has been used, it has been appropriately acknowledged. 

    ☆ Review articles should also be objective, comprehensive and accurate. Plagiarism in all its forms constitutes unethical publishing behavior and it is unacceptable.

    ☆ Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently constitutes unethical publishing behavior and it is unacceptable. 

    ☆ All authors have significantly contributed to the research.

    ☆ The corresponding author should ensure that there is a full consensus of all co-authors in approving the final version of the article and its submission for publication.

    ☆ List of references, financial support.

    ☆ Authors are obliged to participate in peer review process.

    For Editors:

    ☆ Ensure the justice of review and reduce bias. Make efforts to ensure the timely process for contribution by arranging peer review and publication p_r_o_m_p_tly.

    ☆ Ensure the journal publication on time with schedule. Report novel and authentic researches, give priority to publication of frontier and hot issues. Avoid publication with academic misconducts, including plagiarism/self-plagiarism.

    ☆ A suitable and competent reviewers’ database should be established and maintained. Quality of reviewing tasks by reviews/editorial board members should truthfully be recorded and evaluated.

    ☆ Convey the experts’ review comments to the author timely. Coordinate academic discussions and communications between the author and reviewer. Offensive or defamatory comments are not considered. The author’s appeal on the final decision is accepted.

    ☆ Make recommendation (revision, rejection or acceptance) based on the merits, originality, and relevance of the paper. Meanwhile the author should be informed of the rights to make appeals after receiving the final decision.

    ☆ All editors are against any unethical publishing behavior (eg. fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, duplicate submission, etc.). If the misconduct is found, sanctions will include: retracting the paper, informing the authors’ institute, issuing online and printed announcement, and banning the submissions from authors for three years.

    For Reviewers:

    ☆ Comments should be objective and fair and opinions on the academic value and whether the paper can meet the publication standards should be clear and precise to avoid ambiguity.

    ☆ Manuscripts for review must be treated as confidential documents.

    ☆ Reviewers who feel unqualified to review the articles should notify the editor and excuse themselves from the review process.

    ☆ Reviewers should not accept peer review when they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative or other relationships with authors, companies, or institutions connected to the articles.

    ☆ Reviewers should point out relevant published work which is not yet cited.

    ☆ When a peer review invitation is accepted, the review comments should be submitted within the planning time; hinders or delays for completion of review should be notified to the editorial office in time.

    For Publisher:

    ☆ Publishers and editors shall take reasonable steps to identify and prevent the publication of papers where research misconduct has occurred.

    ☆ In no case shall a journal or its editors encourage such misconduct, or knowingly allow such misconduct to take place.

    ☆ In the event that a journal’s publisher or editors are made aware of any allegation of research misconduct the publisher or editor shall deal with allegations appropriately.

    ☆ Publishers and editors should always be willing to publish corrections, clarifications, retractions and apologies when needed.
