      Impact of tension on the structure and properties of PET/PTT filaments

      The paper discusses the properties and structure of the PET/PTT filaments under various tension conditions.As the tension increases,the sonic orientation factor of PET/PTT fiber increases and the Yang′s modulus also increases;the crimp shrinkage rate and the curve elongation rate of PET/PTT fiber decrease exponentially.Moisture thermal treatment of PET/PTT filament under fully relaxed state can impart it the most prominent crimp,but the Yang′s modulus of the fiber will decrease significantly;appropriate small tension is beneficial for both the crimp and the Yang′s modulus.

      Add aqueous boric acid to the aqueous blended solution of sericin and PVA,and sericin /PVA membrane was prepared by level glass plate process.The effect of boric acid on the mechanical property and insolubility property of the sericin / PVA membrane was researched.Preliminary study of the modification mechanism thermal stability of the membrane was performed by using fourier transform infrared spectrophotometry-attenuated total reflectance(FTIR-ATR) and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC).The results indicated that boric acid improves the tensile strength and insolubility property of the membrane,has positive effect on the fixing sericin protein to the membrane,and enhances its thermal stability remarkably.When the mass ratio of sericin and PVA is 3∶7 and the amount of boric acid is 0.4% of the total mass of sericin and PVA,the prepared sericin /PVA membrane has better properties.

      Cellulose was pretreated in solution of 1,2-ethylene diamine.The changes of structure of pretreated cellulose were investigated.The change of crystallinity was characterized by X-ray diffraction.It can be concluded that cellulose pretreated in solution of 1,2-ethylene diamine leads to great decrease of crystallinity.Pretreated cellulose can more easily dissolves in N-methylmorpholine-N-oxide/H2O under the same conditions.Then the steady-state and dynamic rheological behavior of pretreated cellulose and original cellulose solutions were investigated respectively.The distribution of relative molecular mass of pretreated cellulose/N-methylmorpholine-N-oxide/H2O solution became narrow.The entanglements of cellulose turned strong.It can keep the mechanical intensity when spinning.

      Polyvinyl alcohol/ starch blend fibers were prepared,the thermal behavior of these fibers were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis(TG).In addition,Fourier-transform infrared(FTIR) spectroscopy was used to investigate the hydrogen bonding action between different components.Then surface morphology was observed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM).It could be found that two components had stronger hydrogen bonding action under certain mass ratio,in comparison with PVA or starch,two components formed different structure by hydrogen bond,fibers with different mass fraction of starch had different heat-resisting property.

      Nano-scale particles of silk fibroin peptide(SFP) were prepared by a three-step process: dissolving silk fibroin fiber in special solvents,followed by dialysis and concentration,and finally enzymolysis withα-chymotrypsin.Screening test was performed with 4 kinds of solvents and experimental results showed that LiBr/ CH3OH/H2O mixed solvent achieved the best effect.The size of SFP particles appeared about 20-50μm,and that of SFP nano-scale particles were about 80-300 nm.SFP nano-scale particles revealed better antibacterial activity than SFP particles.

      The attenuated law of flow field inside the nozzle block of the air jet vortex spinning is investigated by the method of numerical computation.Force analysis about a separated fiber in twisting chamber and the movement of a separated fiber affected by vortex in twisting chamber are discussed.The function relationship between the critical angular velocity of the fiber′s open-end twined over the hollow spindle and rotated around the air jet vortex spun yarn and the length of the leading fiber ends inside the yarn′s trail,fiber radius and so on is constructed.The critical angular velocity may judge whether the leading fiber ends pulled out the yarn′s trail or not,which can explain the generation of waste fibers and thin places.The critical angular velocity increases along with increasing the length of the leading fiber ends inside the yarn′s trail.On the condition of the same nozzle pressure,the fiber radius is bigger,waste fibers and thin places of the air jet vortex spun yarn are severer.Increasing nozzle pressure firstly can enhance the yarn strength,however,when the nozzle pressure exceeds the critical point,and waste fibers and thin places become more,which make the yarn properties deteriorate.Increasing negative pressure inside the nozzle and decreasing properly the distance from the front roller to the hollow spindle can decrease the generation of waste fibers and thin places.

      Physicochemical refining process for jute fibers was presented.With the aim to improve the spinnability of the jute fiber,the effects on mechanical properties of jute fibers in varying processes,parameters,and refining steps were analyzed and discussed.By analyzing the average length,linear density,and breaking strength of jute fibers obtained by different processes,the results show that hackling process has great effect on the average length,linear density,and breaking strength of jute fibers and is a key controlling factor in the physical refining;jute fibers with the fineness of 16.65 tex and length of 30.16 mm that are obtained through pretreatment—long fiber drawing/cutting—hackling are suitable for cotton spinning system.

      With reference to Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(for short BET) equation,a similar equation of it—the molecular layers mode was set up.The model educes some data by using C++ program which utilizes Powell method,and parameters will be presented by the model such as layers of water molecule wettability and moisture content on a certain fabric under given conditions.Experimental results show that the simulated data are agreeable with actual values measured.Differences in wettability of fabrics with different structure are analyzed.

      To improve the design ability for knitted fabric patterns,a preliminary study was carried out for the design method.Based on mathematics theory,patterns could be created automatically by computer with inputting different parameters of mathematical functions.The knitted fabric simulation was realized by M1 pattern design system of STOLL company.In the pattern,different color zones were replaced by obverse stitch with different colors,or obverse stitch and reverse stitch with same color separately,after that the effects of knitted fabrics could be simulated.Designing with this method,product varieties can be diversified,design efficiency enhanced and the cost lowered.It has bright prospects for application.

      In order to obtain the relationship between content of polyester and low-velocity impact performance of HFRP,seven mixed yarns were designed with different contents of polyester and were woven successfully on the modified conventional loom,the HFRP plates were manufactured by the technology of vacuum assistant molding.A calculation formula for fiber volume fraction of hybrid fibers was deduced,the impact damage and the impact energy absorbency of the composites were observed and analyzed.The result indicates that the composites mixed with polyester fibers have a significant hybrid effect.Through prodiction,the absorbed energy will be the highest when the content of the polyester fiber is about 55.69%.In this way,the best energy absorbency of the composite can be gained with the lowest cost.

      Effect of emulsifier and it′s content on the film morphology of N--βaminoethyl-γ-aminopropylpolydimethylsiloxane(ASO-1) assembled on silicone wafer was studied by atomic force microscope(AFM).It is discovered that the films assembled from the microemulsion in water are rougher than the films assembled from diltuted amino polysiloxane in ethyl acetate solution,which possibly resulted from some emulsifier participating films formation and residual on the film surface.It is also found that the formation mechanism of the films assembled in microemulsion with different emulsifier content was different,which made the films have different rough morphology.Only by controlling emulsifier/ASO-1=40%(mass ratio) can we obtain flat and smooth hydrophobic film,root mean square roughness of the film in 2μm×2μm scanning field is 0.124 nm and the contact angle is 94.88°.

      In order to reduce PVA proportion in sizing solution used for pure cotton finer yarns,nanomodified size can be prepared by adding different kinds of inorganic nanoparticles according to different proportions into a size commonly used for finer cotton yarns,reducing PVA content accordingly.The viscosity,adhesion,penetrating and covering effects as well as the completeness of the size film of the nanomodified size were tested.Optical microscope Olmpus BX-51 was used to examine the conventional and nanomodified sizes and the acting principle of modifying effect of nanoparticles was analyzed.The results indicated that addition of inorganic nanoparticles could reduce the viscosity of the size,enhance its adhesion,and improve the penetrating and covering effects and the completeness of the size film.A structure of net-like honeycomb was seen and the nanoparticle molecules were distributed at the juncture as observed on the fiber sized by nanomodified size,and it demonstrated that its mixing effect was improved.

      The structures and performance of starch were modified by microwave radiation,which is a high efficient,energy saving and harmless technique.It was obviously observed that the microwave radiation changed the morphology and structure of starch particles.It was proved by the intrinsic viscosity test of starch that microwave radiation caused high frequency vibrations of the starch macromolecules,leading to fracture of glycoside bonds and degradation of macromolecules.The behaviors of sizing pastes and films of the starch,natural starch,oxidative starch and hydrolyzed starch radiated by microwave were also tested.The results indicated that the viscosity of sizing paste decreased after the starch was radiated by microwave and the decrease level was related to the duration of microwave radiation.And its adhesion to the fiber was also improved after microwave radiation.The breaking strength,elongation,abrasive resistance,flexibility and wettability were close to or higher than those of oxidative starch and hydrolyzed starch.

      In order to solve the increasing pollution caused by dye wastewater in textile industry,a heterogeneous catalyst,viscose fiber-supported cobalt phthalocyanine(Co-TDTAPc-F),was prepared and the catalytic decolorization ability of this heterogeneous catalyst to different dyes was investigated by using UV-Vis spectrum.The results demonstrated that these dyes were enriched by Co-TDTAPc-F,whereas they were decolorized effectively in the system of Co-TDTAPc-F/H2O2and the color removal of each dye was more than 85% in 60 min.In addition,the decoloration of dyes was influenced by the number of sulfonic groups and the substantivity of dyes.

      For accurate computation of the dye uptake rate of the fiber,this paper has developed a kinetics model for simulating the dye uptake rate by using multiple curve-fitting in combination with experimental data analysis on the basis of Hill equation.Knitted fabrics are dyed with Reactive Red RR,Weak Acid Green GS and Disperse Crimson S-2GFL respectively and the dye uptake rates at different times of these three groups of dyes are computed using this kinetics model and Hill equation and the results obtained are compared with the practical values measured.It showed that this new model is slightly advantageous over Hill equation,and in particular,the predicted dye uptake rate by the model is more agreeable with the actual value when up-taking of dye nearing the state of balance.

      Aiming at the problems existing in traditional cold pad-batching bleaching such as long dwell time and high consumption of alkali,application of H2O2/NOBS activating system in cotton fabric cold pad-batch bleaching is proposed.The influence of process conditions on the bleaching effect was investigated through single factor analysis and orthogonal experiments,and the activating bleaching mechanism was discussed.And complete application technology of H2O2/NOBS activating bleaching has been developed.The optimal conditions are as follows: H2O2concentration,30 g/L;the mol ratio of NOBS to H2O2,1∶4;NaOH mass concentration,6 g/L;piling time,6 h.The results show that the activator bleaching process has the advantages of improving the quality of the bleached fabric,eco-friendly and energy-saving.It remarkably decreases alkali consumption and shortens the piling time.

      Functional finishing of cotton fabric was performed by the stable mineral HAP with a view to improving the photo-catalytic stability of cotton and its adsorption of TiO2;the key technologies for preparation of TiO2photo-catalytic functional material with cotton fabric as carrier were studied through orthogonal experiments.The results indicated that when the proportion of alcohol and water was 1∶1 in preparation of nano TiO2disperse system,the nanoparticles had the best dispersibility;and when the mass concentration of TiO2 was 3% in the disperse system,the prepared sample cotton fabric had optimum decomposability of formaldehyde under UV irradiation.

      In order to break down the technological barrier set by the European Union,develop an accelerated solvent extraction technique for extraction and determination of ortho-phenyphenol in export textiles.According to this method,the ortho-phenyphenol in textiles was extracted with methanol,50℃,10.34 MPa,determined with HP-5 capillary column by GC-FID.The detection limit was 0.05μg/g,the linear equation wasY= 19.891X-0.599 8,r2=0.999 8,the linear range was 0.1-15.0μg/mL,and the average recovery was 100.8%.The method is simple and sensitive and suitable for detecting ortho-phenyphenol in export textiles.

      For computational efficiency and stability of cloth physical modeling,proposed a cloth mass-spring model based on constraint.Taking geometry sphere and cylinder as examples,the paper explains the whole strategy which is used to deal with cloth deformable bodies colliding with environment object.The procedure of physically based simulation is described.The experimental results reveal that the computed data according to the model is very close to the actual values in spite of the complexity of the cloth geometry and it is suitable for real-time simulation.The above research results are applied to 3-D garment simulation environment,and examples are presented.

      Calculation of gradient data is the key in designing lapel collar.Based on understanding the structure of suit collar,multivariate analysis was used to research the calculation method of the gradient data of lapel collar.First,the most proper lapel ease was found via experiment.On the premise of fixed lapel ease,as for the three elements of rolled end point,the difference between rolled collar width and stand height,and lap allowance,different collars under different data conditions were drawn with CAD system to get different gradient data of lapel collar.And then,the data obtained was analyzed by using SPSS system to get the mathematical relationship.The gradient data of lapel collar can be calculated scientifically to solve the problems of unfit and bad appearance caused by inaccurate gradient data of lapel collar.

      The development of cotton fiber maturimeter based on SCM technology is carried out.Since SCM has such advantages as high integration and efficiency,reliability,simple in structure,flexible in application and low price,the research work intends to use SCM and realize intelligent and automatic detection of cotton fibre maturity in accordance with the principle of polarized light.The optical-electronic signal maturity of cotton fiber is output by optical-electronic circuit,and then analog to digital conversion is done by A/D converter,and finally,calculation of parameters on maturity is conducted and relative deviation of output is given by comparing with standard value.According to empirical data and measured values on maturity of some cotton varieties,the relationship between intensity of transmission and maturity index,relative intensity and correction coefficient of fiber number are investigated.

      At present,seldom evaluation methods can be found for the performance of electronic let-off device of high speed shuttleless loom.This paper has proposed that the two indexes,i.e.,the extreme unevenness and similarity be used to evaluate the consistency of tension change degree and tension fluctuation,and then the advantages and disadvantages of the performance of an electronic let-off device was evaluated.The two indexes were used to compare the performance of electronic let-off devices of Peogalo OMNI-190 and Toyato JAT710 when weaving fabrics with different covers or with similar specifications.The results show that the performance of the electronic let-off devices of two different looms is stable.There are no significant differences between the two.

      Electrical beam control system usually used on warp knitting is divided into two types: the closed loop control system and semi-closed loop control system.As to the semi-closed loop control system,the precision of yarn let-off is inferior,and it influences the quality of products.The paper analyzes the discrepancy of the working principle between these two system,as well as the factor that influences the precision of yarn let-off,and detect the yarn let-off deviation of these two system.It is found that the closed loop control system has better control precision than the semi-closed loop control system,however,provided that good warping is effected,the semi-closed loop control system which is easy to manipulate can also offer perfect control precision.

      Three styles of hydroentangling nozzles are designed depending on the requirement in hydroentangling process,that is,cone-capillary nozzle,streamline nozzle and capillary-cone nozzle.A CFD technique is employed to simulate the formation of the water-jets discharged from these nozzles,and the effect of nozzle geometry on water-jet breakup length is analyzed depending on the simulation result.The experiments indicate that the cone-capillary nozzle geometry makes the water jet discharged from the nozzle fogged easily on the water jet surface,and the breakup length of the water jet is shorter;the streamline nozzle geometry makes the disturbance of the nozzle wall to the water flow inside this nozzle decreased,and the breakup length of the water jet is longer;and the capillary-cone nozzle geometry is optimum for water jet to keep collimated and coherent,and the breakup length of the water jet is the longest.

      The purpose of this research is to develop a sock-pressure measurement system based on LabVIEW visual instrument and to explore a method on sock-pressure measurement differing from cloth-pressure test.A thin,flexible and sensitive FlexiForce sensor is used and the high-precision conditioning module is introduced to process the front signal.With LabVIEW language,the application software for the system is developed,including functions of data acquisition,analysis,save and reappearance.In addition,pressures of different positions of socks wearing on plaster models of feet are measured by this system,and combining with theoretic formula,the pressure distribution of different sock positions is discussed.The research provides a new test means for investigation and evaluation of sock comfort.

      In image processing,the registering system of Rotary Screen Printing Machine(RSPM) needs to meet the demand of real-time inspection.This paper presents a fast matching algorithm based on pattern inspection system research of RSPM,its goal is to obtain the position vector of off-pattern-image,builds the foundation for the later closed-loop control.The algorithm combines the point pattern matching algorithm and the block-matching algorithm.Block matching strategy reduces the data computing and improves the operation speed,the simulation results show that it outperforms traditional matching algorithms of grey level based full search strategy,and it is a practical and suitable matching algorithm,it can not only achieve high accuracy,but also improve computing speed through the block matching strategy.The online inspection of RSPM can be realized.

      The main ways of textile industrial upgrading are discussed in the progress of new type industrialization.Applying the related theories on industrial upgrade and value chain,the five factors restricting the textile industrial upgrade are analyzed,including the remaining at the lower end in the value chain of textile industry,weakening in the traditional advantageous position,inadequate investment in R&D,the traditional production mode,and weak marketing force.Then,the paper suggests that in the new type industrialization,the textile industry should expand to the two ends of the value chain,i.e.,to the material development in the upstream and to the high profit zone of product design and market in the downstream.The textile industrial upgrading may be realized by exploiting the advantages of traditional competitive potential,promoting personnel quality,reforming manufacturing methods,motivating technical innovations and strengthening marketing force etc.Thus,the textile industry of China may embark on a path of new type industrialization and realize sustainable development.

      According to the characteristics of technological transformation of textile enterprises,this paper establishes the evaluation indexes system of technological transformation in textile enterprises and the quantitative evaluation model by using the method of principal components analysis(PCA).The model not only can be used to evaluate the technological transformation effectiveness between different enterprises,but also be used to evaluate the technological transformation effectiveness of a certain enterprise.The empirical study is further carried out with some textile enterprises in Henan province as examples.The result shows that the method can evaluate the effectiveness of technological transformation of textile enterprises scientifically,and be helpful for enterprises to improve their investment decision level of technological transformation.

      Making use of quadruply decomposition method to analyze the labor productivity that based on non-parametric production area at the basic level,the effects of technical efficiency,pure technical progress,scale efficiency of capital/labor and intensity of capital/labor on each provincial textile industrial labor productivity from 2002 to 2006 in China are studied.Some results obtained are as follows: 1) the improvement of industrial labor productivity mainly came from technical progress from 2003 to 2006.Moreover,as a result of technology diffusing, the labor productivity of developing provinces are higher than that of developed provinces;2) capital deepening and improvement of technology efficiency;3)decreasing state occurred with respect to scale efficiency of capital/labor during 2004 and 2006.
