A novel method of defects detection for dyed and printed fabrics is presented,which is based on multi-features evidence learning and enhancement in spatiotemporal domain.It′s a general solution to many real-time surface inspection issues.The mutual compensation of multi-features is used to enhance the defects evidence,and history information of the doubted patches in video sequence is also applied to help checking out what are the true defects.The main idea is to find out the unknown defects by comparing the extracted surface features of the known defect-free fabric with those of the fabric being examined.This inspection procedure is divided into two stages: one for the roll-style multi-features learning of the known defect-free textile,the other for realtime surface inspection.Many experiment results of the on-line inspection show that the efficient detection speed reaches 55 frames per second to the image sequence((1 024)×393 pixels) for dyed and printed fabrics of single-color,with a correct dynamic check out rate on surface defects above 95%.

According to the design theory of digital image,the research of innovative digital jacquard fabric design can be divided into two parts: colorful and colorless.This paper makes an in-depth analysis of the innovative principle and design method of colorful digital jacquard fabric,sets forth theories on color design and construction design based on layer-by-layer combination and the method for building the database.The design method of colorful digital jacquard fabric is based on that of colorless digital jacquard fabric,and the structure design might compound several single-layer structures to form a multi-layer structure which makes the fabric capable of color presentation at a level up to millions.The innovative principle and method are beneficial to new product development and innovation of the colorful digital jacquard fabric and can satisfy the technical requirements of colorful digital jacquard fabric design by means of artificial intelligence.

The emulsion with core-shell structure was prepared with organosilicon and acrylate monomers through emulsion polymerization.The correlation of polymeric condition and conversion rate of monomers was investigated.The structure of copolymer emulsion was characterized by TEM and FTIR.Pigment printing of cotton fabrics with this emulsion as binder was performed and the properties of the printed fabrics were analyzed.The results show that the optimal polymerization conditions for the core-shell emulsion are as follows: 6% compound emulsifier;0.6% initiator;reacting at the temperature 80~(85 ℃.) The rigidity of the printed fabrics decreases gradually as the content of organosilicon monomers in the polymer emulsion increases,and the colour data such as L,C and K/S value of the printed fabrics increase significantly,indicating that the printed fabrics have a soft hand and improved colour fastness.

In order to reveal the softening mechanism of functional polysiloxanes, the film morphology and characteristics of the polysiloxane bearing pendant long carbon chain alkyl groups were investigated by atomic force microscope(AFM),scanning electronic microscope(SEM) and other instruments.Experiment results indicate that the polysiloxane can form a hydrophobic and coarse silicone film in oriented arrangement on the surface of fibers or silicon substrate.And in(2 μm~2) scanning field,the average roughness of the film reaches(0.199 nm.)

The identification method of PLA and PET fibers was explored.The findings showed that the PET fiber has a more compact structure than that of PLA fiber,and the holes or cracks on the cross sections of PLA fiber may be observed under microscope.In addition,there are obvious differences between FTIR spectrums of the two fibers.In the case of fiber DSC performance,the melt and apex temperatures of PET fibers are 90 ℃ and 84 ℃ higher than those of PLA fiber respectively. The alkali solution(pH value=11.8) will damage PLA fiber significantly,but almost no impact on the strength of PET fiber,and this can be also used as a qualitative identification of the two fibers.

In order to improve the surface performance of yak hair fibers and enhance their dyeing property,the influence of low temperature plasma treatment of the yak hairs on their surface was studied.Scanning electron microscope(SEM) was used to analyze the morphological change of the fibers after treatment and investigated the tensile strength and dyeing property of the yak hair fibers treated by oxygen-plasma and air-plasma respectively.The results indicate that the surface scales of yak hairs are etched by the low temperature plasma treatment,and in the case of etching effect,air plasma is better than oxygen plasma.At the same time,plasma treatment has enhanced the dyeing rate and dye uptake of the yak fibers with the physical properties such as tensile strength remained.

The properties of the dyed top were measured using SIROLAN-TENSOR bundle strength tester,and the impact of its damage resulting from dyeing on spinning and yarn quality was analyzed.The findings show that,after dyeing,the mean loss values of tenacity,elongation at break and work-to-break of the dyed top are 5.79%,14.23% and 9.67% respectively,while the initial modulus increases by 93.52%.And broken ends,yarn CV,thick and thin places increase with the increasing of the initial modulus.

For effective detection and classification of numerous kinds of fabric defect using a machine,an algorithm for fabric defect detection based on dimensional histogram statistic and support vector machine is proposed,which uses dimensional histogram statistic method to generate dimensional histogram waveform and precisely locates the abnormal site on the fabric texture by comparing the parameters of the waveform characteristics and correctly identifies the defect of the fabric.The parameters are input into the support vector machine and used to train the samples with typical characteristics for obtaining support vectors.The target fabric is detected for its defects and the results are compared to find out the optimal match.The images of the target fabric are put into the best matching group.The experiments show this method is feasible and effective in fabric defect detection and satisfactory identification result can be achieved.

The connection between jacquard and loom based on communication protocols has advantages over the traditional one in many aspects,including reliability,expansibility and standardization,etc.,but it is more complex than the latter.This paper is devoted to an all-round discussion on the data interaction between jacquard control system and loom on the basis of the communication protocols,involving hardware interface,basic information,sessions in communications and so on.Taking Picanol and Vamatex looms for examples,it explains how the jacquard control system to communicate with the loom during weaving.Finally,the solution for applying a protocol controller to the jacquard control on the basis of the communication protocols is put forward.

The paper describes a novel instrument which can measure radiation coefficient of protective fabrics under high convective and radiant heat flux.It takes into account the effect of the coupled convective and radiant heat transfer, adopts a numerical analytical method to calculate convective heat flux,and establishes a systematic measurement and control platform based on virtual test technology.In particular,the problem of uncertainty of the convective heat transfer coefficient influenced by the coupled convective and radiant heat flux in a closed space is solved.The experimental results prove that the new tester can meet actual requirements and that it performs better than other instruments of the same kind.It is especially suitable for measuring radiation coefficient of protective fabrics when exposed to convective and radiant heat.

In carpet tufting process,the mechanical properties of tuft needles restrict the raising of the spindle′s speed and also influence the vibrational property of the entire mechanical system of a tufting machine.However,the kinetic characteristic of the needles greatly depends on the mechanical design of the driving mechanism.This paper introduces the basic principle of carpet tufting motion,designs a needle′s driving mechanism which consists of a crank and slide. Mathematical analysis is made of the crank driving mechanism.Kinematical analysis and comparison of the driving mechanism under the condition of different crank parameters are conducted using ADMAS simulation software with emphasis on the needle movement and the force exerted upon it when punching into the substrate. The optimal design parameters for the crank are determined.The achievements of this research have been applied to the design of carpet tufting machine(DHT200.)

Aiming at the shortcomings of the cotton fabric such as poor in UV and wrinkle resistance,nanometer ZnO,chitosan,and silicone were used to finish it for improving its anti-ultraviolet and anti-wrinkle properties,as well as serviceability.Cotton fabrics were treated with nanometer ZnO by double-dip-double-nip process varying such parameters as the dosage of the finishing agent,bath ratio,duration of dipping,curing temperature and time,followed by treating with chitosan and amino-silicones solution in different concentrations via double-dip-double-nip.The ultraviolet transmissibility,breaking strength,absorbency,whiteness,crease recovery angle,rigidity and softness of the treated fabrics were examined.The findings indicated that the anti-ultraviolet and anti-wrinkle properties of the fabric enhanced distinctly.

This paper tried to expound the golden section proportion,golden rectangle,square root composition and their correlation from the vision principle of geometry form,explained the aesthetic attribute of the golden section,and investigated the inner link between golden section and clothing construction.Through analyzing and verification of the experimental data of the basic size system of the prototype of women′s blouse,it is shown that the golden section proportion exists in each part of the human body and inner structure of the clothing and that square root rectangle finds application in the clothing construction more widely.At the same time,how to utilize aesthetic attribute of golden section effectively in clothing design and how to master better the coordinated proportion of parts of clothing,this study has provided a reference.

In the garment pattern design,the requirement for constructing a curve is a common occurrence.Namely,the curve passes through endpoints of a given polygon and is tangent to the first control line and the last control line of that polygon.The cubic Bzier spline curve is provided for this curve design.Compared with the arc spline and B spline methods,the cubic Bzier spline curve is characterized by easy accomplishment of a curve.The generated cubic Bzier spline curve is smooth because it is G~2 continuity at the patch point inside the curve.Compared with the common Bzier curve,the cubic Bzier spline curve can be adjusted by a designer according to parameters,so it can change the form of the curve and increase the diversity of garment styles.This modeling method will find wide applications in the field of computer-aided garment design.

The effect of electro-spinning technology to the mechanical properties of nanometer poly(vinyl alcohol)(PVA) fiber mat was researched.The results show that with the rising of voltage,the breaking elongation rate of the electro-spun nanometer PVA fiber mat first increases,then goes down,and the breaking strength increases gradually;the breaking elongation rate and breaking strength first increase,and then drop rapidly as the distance between the spinneret and the receiving screen increases;the breaking elongation rate increases and the breaking strength drops a little at the beginning,and then increases rapidly as the concentration of the spinning solution increases.

PANOF fibers were processed by means of rotor spinning technique so as to improve their spinnability and properties of the yarns.The relationship between process parameters and yarn quality was researched through spinning trials and comparison,and for enhancing the yarn quality,processing parameters were optimized. This article analyzed the penetrating and coating of the size on polyester/cotton and pure cotton warps,and the microscopic study of the cross-section,examination of strength enhancement and elongation reduction rates and desizing time of the sized yarns revealed that it is easy for polyester/cotton(65/35) warps to form coating effect in sizing,while the pure cotton warps tend to form penetration sizing effect.The basic reasons for this difference,as shown by analysis,lie in the hydroscopic property of the textile material.Furthermore,the sizing principle and practical applications of both polyester/cotton and pure cotton warps are researched.

Eight principal components were obtained from the related parameters of the fabric and adhesive lining through principal component analysis,which were used as new variables.The BP neural network technology was adopted to construct a three-layer neural network model for prediction of the bonding effect of dry-cleaned composite fabric,and the model was trained using the vector and the algorithm for learning to adapt to new situations.The comparison of the predicted values and the experiment test values indicated that the prediction of bonding effect of dry-cleaned composite fabric by neural network is rather accurate and this testified in a certain extent that this method is practical.

Thirty different kinds of fabrics commonly used for making leisure wears are selected and their performance indexes such as thickness,weight,bending rigidity,extensibility,shear rigidity,formability,stability etc.before and after lining fusing are acquired by FAST system.Based on these data,factor analysis is carried out with SPSS software,reducing the original variances from 22 to 11 and correlative analysis of the main variances is made.The predictive equation is built by the correlative degree,the linear regression equation is for the closest correlation,cubic regression equation is for the general correlation.Cluster analysis is applied to distinguish the different thickness and weight to illustrate the influence of lining fusing,and it is found that the influence of lining fusing shows the following order: the light and thin fabric,the medium thickness and weight fabric,the thick and heavy fabrics.

The effects of potassium alkyl-phosphate(PK) on the antistatic and friction properties of polyester(PET) staple fiber were discussed from both macroscopic and microscopic aspects.The results demonstrated that the mono/diesters ratio,temperature and humidity had considerable influence on the antistatic property of fiber.The particle size of PK emulsion had little influence on the antistatic property but marked influence on the friction.In addition,the morphology of surface of fiber was observed by environmental scanning electronic microscopy(ESEM).It indicated that the surface of fiber can be covered well by PK when the absorption amount is 0.1 percent,whereas C_(18)PK results in more deposits on the surface of fiber than C_(12)PK when the absorption amount is 0.3 percent.

The fiber length distribution of taker-in droppings and card strips under such conditions as three kinds of pin taker-in and one kind of saw-tooth taker-in at speeds of two doffer and four taker-in level are tested with roller cotton fiber length analyzer.The results show that: 1)Fibers shorter than(13 mm) account for 41.6%~50.51% in saw-tooth taker-in droppings and 27.4%~43.48% in pin taker-in droppings.In the case of the ability of removing short fibers,the saw-tooth taker-in is better than the pin taker-in,and among the three kinds of pin taker-in,the one with small working angle is the best.2) The saw-tooth taker-in and the pin taker-in with small working angle lead to more serious damage to fibers.3)Fibers shorter than(13 mm) account for 48.23%~54.6% in saw-tooth taker-in card strips and 45.92%~58.23% in pin taker-in card strips.

A distributed control system built by CAN bus with PCC as its core was applied to a new style roving frame.This paper expatiated on the general structure of the system and execution method,and discussed the characteristics of PCC control.B&R 2003 PCC was used in master computer of the control system and the ACOPOS servo system was used in slave computer.Data communications between them were realized by CAN bus.The speed of the flyers,bobbins,the front rollers and bobbin rail were controlled by four servo-motors separately.The control system has a high accuracy of speed modulation and high-level electromechanical integration.It guarantees yarn quality and realizes precise technological design.The control system has good potential applications.

Based on the properties of the stainless steel staple fiber,mixed it with cotton fiber since their elongations are similar.The cotton spinning system was used with processing process adjusted to adapt to the particularity of the fibers.The experiment results indicated that it is feasible to spin the stainless steel staple fiber/cotton yarn on a cotton spinning system.However,being high tenacity but low elongation,the stainless steel staple fibers are damaged seriously and have as low as a 70% finished product rate.

The effect of modifier amount,NaOH concentration,treating temperature,and duration of treatment on the dyeing K/S value of the cationized cotton fabric was researched when cationic modification of the cotton fabric was implemented with polyepichlorohydrin-amine(PECH-amine).The appropriate amount of salt and alkali for dyeing the modified cotton fabric black was discussed,and a comparison of the dyed fabrics of the modified and unmodified was made in terms of blackening,dye up-take,K/S value,and color fastness.The results demonstrate that the cationized cotton fabrics after being dyed black have excellent blackening,considerable improvement in K/S value and dye up-take,and better washing and rubbing fastness.

The characteristics of jute and polypropylene fibers were analyzed respectively,and the reasonable blending ratio of the two fibers was determined for development of automobile interior ceiling lining boards.The processing route and chief technical parameters such as degumming,flame retardant treatment, opening and mixing,carding and web forming,take-in operation,curing and hot pressing were investigated during the development of the material.The properties of the jute and polypropylene composite lining board were compared with those of the glass fiber reinforced plastic composite and the results indicated that the performance indexes of the automobile interior lining board of jute and polypropylene non-woven composite material can meet the related requirements of the automobile industry with such properties as bursting strength,extensibility and permeability exceeding those of the glass fiber reinforced plastic composite.

As an important part of the textile machinery for winding,the grooved drum has great impact on the quality of the bobbin.This paper addresses the characteristics,processing processes and application field of various grooved drums such as bakelite drum and metal drums,including steel plate drum,cast drum and superplastic alloy drum.It points out that the substitution of the bakelite drum with metal drum has become a developing trend,and that the steel plate drum and aluminum alloy drum are superior to the superplastic alloy drum for the enhancement of yarn quality.The present work has significant value in the research of grooved drums for improving the wearability,durability and for promotion of home-made products.

Based on traditional folk embroidered garments and ornaments in the Folk Garments Biography House of Southern Yangtze University, on traditional folk garment patterns,especially the theme and decorative section of embroidered patterns was researched.Combining Chinese traditional folk culture and decorative art of forelore craft,it analyzes their specific culture and the meaning of symbols,which include the symbol of beauty,celebration,blessing,the totem of a tribe,sustenance of folk religious doctrine and so on.Its themes express the beautiful wishes the ancient people yearn for and pursue,reflect the charm and elegance of traditional folk garments,and embody the wisdom and exquisite craftsmanship of the ancient folk women.

Fitness is one of the required characters of garment.Mannequin is a useful and important tool for the control of the fitness in the garment industry. China started to develop its mannequin industry rather late,and there exist a lot of problems,in particular,about fitness of the garment mannequin for Chinese civil shapes.Aiming at these problems,on-the-spot investigations to mannequin manufacturing enterprises were conducted,making a systematic analysis of the problems concerning the shade modeling,fabricating and necessary materials of mannequin production at home.Users′ opinions were collected through questionnaire way,including summing up their needs and requirements.The conclusions and suggestions set forth can be used as a reference for designing and making mannequins fit to Chinese civil shapes.

Beginning from the objective and principle of the fashion design management,this article investigates the key factors constructing the model of fashion design management which can be divided into two modules: design tasks and design systems.The core of fashion design management is to grasp the opportunity,have good planning and efficiency,and acquire accurate information about the fashion market,in so doing,the planned maximum market value is ensured.The design task module mainly consists of style design,design workflow management and product design models,and the module of design systems chiefly consists of organization structure,objective management and factors of design rules.To ensure the integrity and availability of the design management model,each involved factor has to be relevant to others,and has to be kept consistent in the overall strategy.

In consideration of the changing needs and concept of consumption of customers,it is necessary to improve customer satisfaction degree for garment enterprises.Based on the theory on customer satisfaction and combined with the actual operation of garment enterprises,an evaluation system and model of CSD were constructed.By citing practical cases,a substantial and textual research was made on the importance of quality attributes of the garment,reliability of questionnaire,rationality of the design of CSD evaluation system and model.Furthermore,the conversion of qualitative evaluation of CSD into quantitative one was studied.
