Electrospinning method was used to fabricate PVA and PAN nanofibers.The effect of solution mass concentration and conductivity on electrospun fiber morphology was investigated by scanning electron microscopy(SEM).The result showed that the beads decreased and fiber diameter increased with increasing solution mass concentration which was found to have considerable effect on bead-free nanofibers and fiber diameter.Solution conductivity was improved by adding different LiCl mass concentrations into electrospinning solution.With increasing solution conductivity,fiber′s discrete coefficient decreased remarkably.Thus it is concluded that solution conductivity is the primary factor influencing the discrete coefficient of the fiber.

To evaluate the practicability of hollow fiber polypropylene membrane modified by cysteine(PP-g-Cys),its thermal stability and mechanical properties were analyzed by dynamic mechanical thermal analysis,thermogravimetry and tensile test.The results show ultraviolet irradiation has little effect on the mechanical property of polypropylene hollow fiber membrane in N2,whereas it decreases the break strength of the membrane in atmosphere.The elongation at break of PP-g-Cys descends with the increase of grafting degree.And the glass transition temperature(Tg) of PP-g-Cys drops,that is,the macromolecule becomes softer.The cysteine grafted side chain on PP-g-Cys membrane is thermally unstable,the its highest application temperature of the modified membrane is 212.4℃and 191.5℃in N2and O2respectively.

To investigate the influence of dry-heat treatment on the structure and properties of AN(acrylonitrile)-g-Casein fibers,the scanning electron microscope,fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,and X-ray diffraction were used.The results indicated that the dry-heat treatment below 140℃had slight influence on the yarn shrinkage and whiteness and improved its strength.When temperature of the dry-heat treatment exceeded 140℃,the fibers exhibited distortion of the fiber,increase in yellowing and decrease in crystallinity.140℃was found to be the critical temperature of AN--gCasein fibers for dry-heat treatment.

Technology of steam explosion treatment on hemp fibers was studied,and in order to research the effect of steam explosion treatment on the structure and properties of hemp fibers,the morphology,structure and properties of fibers after treatment were analyzed by using FTIR、SEM、XRD and TG.The results showed that the morphology of fibers became very clean,the cavities inside fibers shrunk,the size of pores also diminished,and the cross section gradually turned into the shape of ellipse because of swelling effect of fibers.Treated fibers also showed the characteristics of cellulose I,and the crystallinity degree and crystallite size of fibers had some decline.The dye uptake rate of hemp fibers increased from 66.62%(untreated) to 87.88%(treated).The thermal stability of fibers got improved notably,the temperature at which the fibers reached maximum degradation rate rose from 372.8℃to 395.3℃.

Chitosan fibers with different degrees of acetylation can be prepared by controlling the ratio between acetic anhydride and the fiber.This paper studied the absorption and antimicrobial properties as well as the tensile strength of the acetylated chitosan fibers and wound dressings thereof.The results showed that the properties of chitosan wound dressings were affected by the degree of acetylation.The partially acetylated chitosan fibers can absorb a large quantity of water into the fiber structure when in contact with water,making the partially acetylated chitosan dressing more absorbent than the original dressing.The wet strength and the antimicrobial properties of the partially acetylated samples were poorer than the original untreated samples.

For solving the problem of raw material shortage of viscose fiber production and making full use of hemp xyloid stem,the structure and properties of hemp xyloid stem based viscose fiber were discussed by using advanced testing instruments such as SEM and X-ray analyzer.The test results reveal that the cellulose,lignin and tetrahydrocannabinol of the hemp xyloid stem based viscose fiber may react reciprocally and form complicated carbohydrate complex.The degree of crystallinity of hemp xyloid stem based viscose fiber is better than that of the regular viscose staple fiber and the crystal type of two viscose fibers is still celluloseⅡin monoclinic system.The elongation property of the hemp xyloid stem based viscose fiber is a litter better than that of the regular viscose staple fiber.The hemp xyloid stem based viscose fiber has good antibacterial property.

The chemical and physical properties of the feather fiber were evaluated with weight loss,breaking strength and breaking elongation.The results revealed that the feather fiber has good acid resistance.In the solution of 150 mL/L H2SO4,the physical properties of feather fiber are stable;while the alkaline resistance of feather fiber is poor.The NaOH solution with pH=9 will degrade the physical properties of the feather fiber.Feather fiber is very sensitive to oxidant;0.5 mL/L NaClO decreases the breaking strength and breaking elongation of feather fiber significantly;while 200 mL/L NaHSO3does not induce distinct change to the physical properties of feather fiber.

The flow patterns affected by the nozzle structure parameters and the velocity at jet orifice exit inside the nozzle of air jetvortex spinning were investigated by the method of numerical computation.The results show that the negative pressure along the nozzle axis enhances first,and then diminishes along with increasing the jet orifice angle,and the negative pressure is maximal when jet orifice angle is 30 degree.The tangential velocity decreases along with increasing the jet orifice angle,however,the axial velocity increases along with increasing the jet orifice angle.When the velocity at the exit of jet orifice enhances,the greater the tangential and axial and radial velocity,the bigger the negative pressure along the nozzle axis.The outer diameter of the hollow spindle has comparatively small effect on the velocity of airflow inside the nozzle,however,when the outer diameter of the hollow spindle is smaller,the negative pressure along the nozzle axis will become higher.Increasing the distance between the hollow spindle and the entrance of the nozzle,the velocity and the static pressure inside the nozzle diminish and the negative pressure at the entrance of the nozzle increase.

For solving the problems of conventional low twist yarns due to their low tenacity,a specially designed false twister was installed between the front rollers and yarn guide on a conventional ring spinning frame for increasing fiber migration and entanglement in the spinning triangle,leading to a reinforcement of yarn strength.Thus the produced yarn has a low twist and a relatively high strength simultaneously.In addition,the yarn internal and external structures were examined and the radial fiber distribution,fiber path and yarn surface structure between the modified,normal and low twist conventional ring yarns were compared.The results reveal that the modified low twist yarn has a structure different from the conventional ring spun yarns.

Aiming at the fact that the current yarn quality prediction model for optimizing the spinning process could not meet the needs of practical production,support vector machine(SVM) method for yarn quality prediction was proposed.This study optimized the model parameters with″grid-research″method.Experimental results of wool yarn indicate that SVM model is able to simulate spinning process to a reasonably good accuracy,and more suitable for real spinning process than ANN model.

The PLA fibers were subjected to various heat treatments.The impact of temperature and duration of heat treatment on the breaking strength,elongation at break,initial modulus and work to break of the fibers was investigated.The results indicate that as the temperature increases,the breaking strength of the fibers gradually decreases and the elongation at break increases.As the temperature and duration increase,the initial modulus decreases.When the temperature is above 130℃or duration over 20 minutes,the treatment will result in significant degradation of the mechanical properties the PLA fibers.

ince the skew was inevitable during the fabric image collecting,a new method using the texture of fabric to rectify the skew of fabric image was proposed.Based on the principle that the direction of the yarn clearance is accordant with that of the yarn,the skew of the complete fabric image can be correctly rectified when performing rectification of the skew of the yarn clearance.The relation between the rectified angle and the discrete degree of projection brightness of fabric image,and the measurement of the weft density are used to validate the effect of the rectification of the fabric image.The experiments show that an ideal result has been obtained by this method as the precision of rectification reaches 0.05,° and this has laid a foundation for the automatic recognition of the fabric density and the fabric structure.

Along with the suggestion of layered combination design mode for digital jacquard fabric,it is possible to produce jacquard fabric featuring rich mixed color effect via the combination of several single-layer structures.On the basis of design practice,an in-depth analysis of main technical factors of structural design of digital colorful jacquard fabric,i.e.design method of gamut weaves and compound weaves was carried out to explore the corresponding relationship between different structural designs and combination method and final fabric effect.In addition,with designing and realizing smooth color shading of digital jacquard fabric as the goal,reasonable structure designs and combination methods were also proposed.It provides the essential technical reference for innovative design of colorful digital jacquard fabric.

Fourier Transform Profilometry(FTP) based on parallel optical axis geometry was proposed.In this method,crepe fabric surface section contour image based on digital weighted filter was employed.Four feature parameters were proposed,such as coarse degree,fractal dimensions,surface areas,and average offset.These can be extracted from the 3-D contour data of surface shape.The experimental results show that these feature values can reflect the crepe degree of a crepe from different sides;it has closely linear correlation between feature values and crepe fabric crepe degree,which can be used to assess fabric crepe degree objectively.

The method of psychological perceptions was applied to investigate the values of the PVC crinkle products in clothing market.The feelings about fabric appearance was collected and analyzed.By factorial analysis,the main sensation factors of fabric appearance were obtained.10 kinds of fabric in common use was treated by PVC heat crinkle technique.10 pairs of samples were evaluated,each containing a treated and untreated sample.The results of evaluation were analyzed by means of psychological perceptions and SPSS software.Factors constituting perception image and the evaluation scales for apparel with crinkled effect produced by PVC heat crinkle technique were researched.The results reveal that the perception image evaluation scale can find use in designing a garment with crinkle produced by heated PVC membrane.The perception image of fabric after crinkle treatment has been greatly improved,thus proving that this technique has market value.

For better understanding the effect of home laundering on the properties of naturally colored cotton woven fabrics,a series of naturally colored cotton containing woven fabrics were made using yarns of NCC and its blend,and the effect of home laundering on the hand of naturally colored cotton based woven fabrics was examined.FAST(Fabric Assurance by Simple Testing)system was used in the investigation.The study showed that the first washing cycle is the critical one which affects the hand of washed fabric most the fabric will become softer and fuller;and subsequent washings will make the fabric hand become smooth with decreased fullness.Compared to the white cotton based materials,the naturally colored cotton based fabric has stiffer hand and better garment shaping performance.When incorporated with Lyocell fiber,the naturally colored cotton based woven fabric has smoother hand,and after wash,become more comfortable in wear.

In order to study the sound insulation of glass fabric/PVC composite material and improve its property,the glass fabric/PVC composites were manufactured from glass fibers with different diameters and PVC resin with high damp.The two-channel acoustic analyzer,SEM,etc were used to analyze the sound insulation property and micro-structure of the samples.The results showed that glass fiber′s fineness has great influence on the sound insulation property of both fabric and composite material.With the same density and thickness,the finer the glass fiber,the better the sound insulation of the fabric and composite material.

In order to improve its poor dyeing properties,hemp fabric is treated by sodium hydroxide with different concentrations,and the moisture regain,water absorption,dyeing and mechanical properties of treated hemp fabrics were examined.The results indicate that the moisture regain,water absorption,dye-uptake rate of treated hemp fabrics are improved,and fixation yield andK/Svalue of hemp fabrics are enhanced when dyed with reactive dyes.Caustic mercerization is good for improving the dyeing properties of hemp fabric.However,caustics mercerization ccan also result in bending rigidity increased.It leads to worse handle of hemp fabric,so it is necessary to choose an appropriate process for its sodium hydroxide treatment.

For the purpose of testing color difference online in batch dyeing process,this paper first use least-square law to build up a model of concentration-uptake rate and a model of concentration-color difference based on experimental data.And then the model of absorbance-concentration and the model of absorbance-color difference are built by using a known function of uptake rate-absorbance as a medium.In this way,the color-difference can be forecasted by testing dyeing absorbance.The feasibility and validity of this new algorithm have been verified by real examples.

To meet the sizing needs of high-count and high-density pure cotton fabrics,a new acrylic size with low backstaining and high strength of size film was synthesized through studying the nature and characteristics of acrylics monomers,analyzing and selecting suitable monomers,and determining the best proportion of soft monomer to hard monomer.IR study showed that all the monomers participate in the polymerization.Laser diffractometry illustrated that the diameter of the new size particulate is 4.9μm,which is very suitable for penetrating into and sticking to cotton yarns,this is why the new acrylic size was performance as sizing agent.And it was proven by sizing experiments.

As far as fabric model is concerned,some are quite complicated,can not achieve real time display;others only pay attention to explicit appearance,can not reflect the real attribute of the fabric.This paper brings forward a method in the virtual reality environment.It can both reflect the real attribute of the fabric and achieve the effect in the real time.According to the relationship of garment and mannequin,garment characteristics were collected on the 3-D body,and were used to erect three-cornered surfaces according to some rules.Using VRML(virtual reality modeling language) to build 3-D garment configuration,then fractionizing the garment configuration in loop arithmetic.Velvet garment model can be got in VRML environment.The Eon and VB were used to exploit the virtual reality exhibition system.Transmit the garment model and body model into the system,and realize the aim of 3-D garment showing and trying on.

The shape parameters of semi-tight skirt for subjective evaluation are described as shape,volume,balance,movement,drape,rhythm,steady,uniform,snug,and smooth.An expert group of eighteen apparel professionals including designers,technologists and sales personnel has assessed 41semi-tight skirts made of different fabrics,the total shape value(TSV) is put forward by group decision-making.The BP neural network model of TSV is built up,the data of fabric mechanical properties obtained by FAST system are applied to the input layer,and the output layer is TSV.By analyzing the regression model between measurement value and the predictive value of 8 specimens randomly selected,it is proved that the network model has an excellent prediction precision.

To study the effect of different types of web cleaner on the card sliver quality,we have done the comparison test between the guide plate web cleaner and the anti-teeth guided flat web cleaner under the condition of the same amount of air volume.Test the card sliver produced under the above conditions using USTER AFIS single fiber test system.The results show that the quality of the card slivers processed by anti-teeth guided flat web cleaner is better than that processed by guide plate web cleaner.It may be attributed to the action of anti-teeth guided flat web cleaner excluding the shore-staple,impurities and neps being an ″active″action and the guide plate web cleaner being a″passive″action.When the web cleaner is situated in the back plate,it is better to use the anti-teeth guided flat web cleaner.

In order to meet the demands of high speed weaving and diversified varieties of fabric,the let-off motion must be controlled accurately since electronic let-off system of loom has faced some new requirements.The traditional PID controller can not meet the requirements because of its typical complicated,tandem driving,time changing and non-liner winding system.Targeting the shortcomings of the traditional PID controller in loom electronic let-off and take-up motion control,a Fuzzy-PID tension controller is proposed for effective settlement of the problems of dynamic change of the non-liner system.Simulation by Simulink of MatLab is carried out on the basis of SAURER400 loom.The simulation experimental results indicate that the parameters of Fuzzy-PID are better than those of routine PID.This control method has good application potential for electronic let-off system.

The influences of different tempering temperatures and tempering time on the elasticity and hardness of knitting needles were studied.The results showed that tempering temperature has an obvious effect on surface hardness of knitting needles.The surface hardness lowers significantly along with tempering temperature rise.When the tempering time is over 60 minutes,surface hardness varies little at the same testing tempering temperature.And the elasticity of knitting needles is mainly influenced by tempering time.When tempering time is less than 60 minutes,the residual deformation value decreases greatly along with temperature rising.At the same time,the residual deformation value changes little and maintains a small value when tempering temperature is higher than 220℃and tempering time is over 60 minutes.The needles can be rendered not only good elasticity,but also high hardness(HV650 above) by an appropriate and plentiful low-temperature tempering process.

In consideration of the customer requirements(CRs) and consumption trends,a new design strategy of the function knapsack is proposed,which is based on combining quality function deployment(QFD) and value-focused thinking(VFT).According to this method,customers are guided to think creatively by value-focused thinking(VFT) and the CRs items and design features are acquired through visiting customers and questionnaire.Analytic hierarchy process(AHP) is conducted for customers′demand.And then house of quality(HOQ) representing the mapping relationship between the CRs and the design features is constructed based on their correlation analysis.Furthermore,the optimal scheme strategy is brought about and the effective strategy decision support is developed for enhancing the customer satisfaction.

Due to its broad-spectrum and high antimicrobial activity,low drug resistance and dermal irritation,the silver-based antimicrobial textile has attracted more attentions.The safety,antimicrobial performance,antibacterial mechanism of silver antimicrobial agent,preparation of silver-based antimicrobial fiber and fabric,assessment of antimicrobial performance and the existing problems were discussed in this paper with emphasis on the antimicrobial performance,advantages and disadvantages of silver with different valences.The antimicrobial fibers and fabrics on home and world markets were summarized and compared.The future direction for the silver-based antimicrobial textiles is to further study and develop more photo-stable and cheaper silver antimicrobial agents.
