      Cross-linked fibroin gel was prepared with polyethylene glycol diglycidyl ether(PGDE) as crosslinking agent.The thermal stability of fibroin gel as a function of fibroin concentration,PGDE concentration,NaCl concentration,and reaction temperature was measured by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) analysis.The results indicated that the thermal decomposition temperature keeps rising with the increase of fibroin concentration and reaction temperatures,and as the concentration of PGDE and NaCl increases,it goes up to a certain extent,then drops slowly.

      Spinning solution of poly(hexamethylene adipate)(13%) was prepared using 2∶1(w/w) mixture of 1,2-dichloroethane and trifluoroacetic acid as solvent at room temperature.Poly(hexamethylene adipate) was electrospun into nano_fiber whose diameter in the range of 80~(500 nm,) and the nano_fiber composite membrane with electret melt-blowing nonwovens was also presented.The morphology of the nano_fiber was investigated by SEM,and the filtration property of the nano_fiber composite membrane with electret melt-blowing nonwovens was examined.The results showed that the filtration efficiency of nano_fiber composite membrane with electret melt-blowing nonwovens to the particles diameter about(0.3 μm) at a flow rate of(2.83 L/min) reaches(99.9%.)

      The number of yarn wet snarling per unit length is an important indirect index for the evaluation of yarn residual torque.A computerized characterization method for the yarn snarling distribution was proposed by applying the digital image and signal processing techniques to the actual yarn snarling images.The yarn snarling characteristic curve is firstly extracted,then several Gauss signals would be calculated to match with the yarn snarling characteristic curve.Experimental results revealed that the number of yarn wet snarling can be automatically calculated with a high accuracy by the proposed method,besides,the height and width values of each snarling can also be obtained.

      To determine the test time of the fabric static drape coefficient in a scientific way,the fabric drape tester XDP-1 was developed,which adopts a drape image test method.Its sample placement in a plate ensures stable lifting while the fabric sample is overhanging because of gravity.The tester can measure many values of the fabric static drape coefficient in a time sequence.Through analyzing the change curves of the fabric static drape coefficient as a function of time,it is considered that the invariable test time of fabric drape is irrational.The minimum test time can be adopted,which improves the rationality and reproducibility of measurements.

      Coat-hanger die is usually used as the polymer melt distributor of the melt-blown nonwoven system.The design of the coat-hanger die is of significant importance for the polymer melt distribution across the die and the quality of the final product.The two-dimensional finite element method is used to simulate the flow of the polymer fluid in the coat-hanger die of melt-blown nonwoven process.The effects of the geometrical parameters of the die and the property of the polymer fluid on the flow distribution at the outlet are studied.The results indicate that the flow distribution at the outlet is improved with the increase of the manifold angle and the land height.And the flow distribution at the outlet depends on the power-law index.Whether the power-law index increases or decreases,the flow distribution at the die outlet tends to deteriorate.

      The water and oil repellent properties of fabric treated with fluorine-contained agent will deteriorate to certain extent due to external influence such as soaping,chlorine bleaching,perspiration,rubbing and soiling.However,after high temperature((150 ℃))curing,its recovery of water and oil repellent properties is realized.Energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS) is used to analyze the fluorine content on the surface of the fabric after high temperature curing treatment and 20 cycles of washing,and the results revealed that the deterioration or recovery of water and oil repellent properties of fabric lies in the change of the orientation of fluorine atoms on the fiber surface of the fabric.

      Based on N·R·S·Hollies′ psychological scaling,a new psychological scaling was developed and applied to evaluate clothing comfort through wearer trial.Three independent perceptional factors(thermal and moisture sensibility comfort,tactile sensibility comfort and pressure sensibility comfort) were extracted from the complex psychologically perceptional reaction by means of factor analysis.The correlation between the perceptional factor and the entire comfort perception was analyzed,and the predicting model of clothing comfort was established by using the linearity statistical analysis and BP neural networks.The results indicated that the contribution rate of thermal and moisture sensibility comfort,tactile sensibility and pressure sensibility to the entire comfort perception are 33.695%,29.114% and 17.011% respectively.Ten descriptive terms for perception are presented.The accuracy of prediction of BP neural networks model is higher than that of factor analysis.

      Conductive composite fibers of polyaniline doped with dodecylbenzene sulfonic acid(PANI-DBSA) and polyacrylonitrile(PAN) were prepared via a conventional wet spinning process.The dispersion of PANI-DBSA in PAN matrix was studied by scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and transmission electron microscopy(TEM).The effect of PANI-DBSA content on the electrical and mechanical properties of the fiber was investigated.The results show that the PANI-DBSA dispersed in matrix uniformly in nanometer size.The conducting network already formed at low PANIDBSA content.When PANI-DBSA composite fiber has a mass fraction of 5%,the fiber demonstrates excellent mechanical properties and has conductivity of an order of(10~(-3) S/cm.)

      The weight of casein protein fibers with different protein contents during moisture absorption & moisture evaporation was measured under standard atmosphere conditions.After analyzing its moisture absorption & moisture evaporation properties,plotted the relative curve,and made the regression equation of the moisture regain to time and the regress equation of the rate of moisture absorption & moisture evaporation.The results indicated that the time needed for reaching balance of moisture absorption & moisture evaporation is similar to the data shown in the curve.Higher the protein content in casein protein fiber,better the moisture absorption of the fiber.The time needed for reaching the balance of moisture absorption of casein protein fiber is shorter than that of moisture evaporation.

      Along with the application of computer for fiber dosage,a sharp increase is seen of the fiber dosage data in the database.In order to find out significant information from the database for control of fiber sorting on lot-to-lot basis,this paper firstly probes the database design method,analyzes the relationship between tables and entity property of tables in detail,and discusses the general description of the regulation for fiber dosage,and then puts forward a kind of "window scanning" algorithm which can automatically find out the regulation from the database according to its description.Moreover,application examples are given,which show that the algorithm of "window scanning" is simple and easy to operate,and has practical value in automatically creating tables which control fiber sorting and blending on lot-to-lot basis in a computer system.

      This paper investigated a pick density variable fabric and determined the conditions of the fabric which may be regarded as having personality style as follows: the pick density distribution pattern must embody the intentions of garment design,and the length of a weft density variation unit must be equal to the length or width of a garment piece.A new fabric weave is designed with the length of two cloth pieces in a pick density repeat and it can meet the requirements of multiply cutting in garment making.The way of weaving of the fabric is given.The loom for weaving this fabric should not only be equipped with the electronic take-up and let-off devices,but also possess the interface of inputting pick density distribution pattern.

      The fabric smoothness grade is very important for its aesthetic appearance. In this paper,a new method for objective evaluation of the fabric smoothness was proposed,which utilized the grating scanning method and virtual technologies,realized capture,processing and display of 3D information of the fabric surface contour,and obtained the characterization values reflecting the wrinkled degree of the fabric surface.And coupled with MatLab artificial neural networks model based on LabVIEW,objective evaluation of fabric smoothness grade was accomplished.The experimental results revealed that its reliability reaches 90%.

      The nanosize silver films with thickness ranging from 0.5 nm to 3 nm were deposited on the surface of polypropylene nonwoven by magnetron sputtering technology to impart it the anti-bacterial function.The anti-bacterial effect of the nonwoven covered with nanosize silver films was measured using shake flask test,and the surface morphology of nanosize silver films was analyzed by atomic force microscope(AFM).The results showed that the anti-bacterial performance was improved gradually as film thickness increased.The AFM images revealed that silver film was formed by nanosize and homogeneous particles,assuming continuous covering state.As sputtering time prolonged,the size of nano silver increased.

      The driving mechanism of a full-automatic flat knitting machine for glove is a kind of combined mechanism in series,which drives the carriage to reciprocate.The parameters of the mechanism influences the main function parameters and performance of machine.Based on the kinematics analysis of the mechanism and the mathematical model established,a dynamic simulation software was programmed by Visual Basic 6.0.With the software the dynamic simulation and analysis of the main driving mechanism with different parameters can be performed.The simulation results which included the graph,data and the curve of the movement were verified by the high-speed photography.This provides a useful tool and sound theoretic basis for the design and improvement of the driving mechanism of the full-automatic flat knitting machine for glove.

      Size loading is one of important indexes in evaluating the sizing quality,which is influenced by several process parameters,including four controllable factors,i.e.,sizing concentration,temperature in sizing box,speed of sizing machine and squeezing roller pressure.To establish a math model of the correlation of above four factors and the size loading for accurate prediction of size loading,a prediction model of three-layer Back-Propagation neural network system was established and the network was trained using the experienced data obtained from the practical production of pure cotton twill and repeated training was carried out with Levenberg Marquardt algorithms so that the performance goal was attained.This network model was applied to predict the size loading and the predicted results showed in good agreement with the actual value,and it can meet the requirements for production.

      p-chlorobenzyl phosphate was synthesized from trimethyl phosphite and 4-chlorobenzyle chloride by Arbuzov rearrangement reaction.The influence of reaction temperature,the molar ratio of trimethyl phosphite to 4-chlorobenzyl chloride,reaction time and feeding mode on the yield of p-chlorobenzyl phosphate was investigated.The result showed that the yield of p-chlorobenzyl phosphate reaches 90.8% when the molar ratio of trimethyl phosphite to 4-chlorobenzyle chloride is 1.2,reacting at 162℃ for 6 hours.

      Hydroxysilicone oil was emulsified and polymerized with silicone coupling agent carrying with a amino-group and polyether-group under certain conditions.The influences of reaction temperature and time and the dosage of catalyst on the viscosity and yellowing of the product were studied and the optimum conditions of synthesis reaction were determined by orthogonal experiment method.Moreover,a comparative analysis of this modified softener and the products of the same kind both at home and abroad in terms of handle,whiteness,tearing strength and anti-crease properties was conducted.The results showed that the fabric treated with this modified softener has excellent hand feeling and good whiteness (81.3%),and its tearing strength increased by 22% and the crease recovery angle raised by 9% as compared with the fabrics treated with ordinary softeners.

      The two parameters(damping ratio ξ and nature surge frequency ω_n) of the system are obtained through the step response curve of sweating manikin.According to the values of ξ and ω_n,the stability of sweating manikin system can be determined.The experimental results show that in the control process of manikin surface skin temperature,when ξ is 0.804,it illustrates that this control system is an underdamping second-order system.The surge process is attenuation.When the nature surge frequency ω_n equals to(0.004 6),the stability of this control process is very good.In the control process of manikin surface wetness,when ξ is 0.643,it illustrates that this control system is also an underdamping second-order system.The surge process is attenuation,too.When the nature surge frequency ω_n equals to(0.002 8),the stability of this control process is also very good.

      In order to understand the relationship between the inner structure and the mechanical properties and the effects of bleaching and dyeing on the mechanical properties of the composite fiber of soybean protein/polyvinyl alcohol,its tensile and relaxation properties were tested.And through analysis,four models——Vangheluwe,modified Vangheluwe,Zurek and modified Zurek were selected,and they were applied to the fitting of the tensile property curves of the composite fiber of soybean protein/polyvinyl alcohol bleached and dyed under different conditions.Through comparison the optimal model suitable for individual case was determined.

      Based on the determination of morphological structure,moisture preservation content,wicking height,wicking rate,drying rate of Cooldry fiber,the properties of moisture absorbency and sweat transport of Cooldry filament were analyzed in this paper.The final result indicated that Cooldry is a profiled polyester fiber with microgrooves on its surface along fiber axis.For this reason,its wicking effect is improved significantly and therefore,the properties of moisture absorbency and sweat transport of Cooldry fabric are enhanced.

      The effects of ultrasonic treatment on the morphology,crystalline morphology,thermal performance and mechanical properties of cotton fibers were tested and investigated through X-ray diffraction(XRD),thermal gravimetric analysis(TGA),scanning electron microscope(SEM) and etc.with an attempt to set a theoretical basis for the application of ultrasonic treatment to dyeing and finishing of cotton fabrics.The experimental results indicated that ultrasonic treatment alters the morphology of cotton fiber,makes the natural curvature inherent to the fiber disappeared and the fiber surface rougher.The crystallinity and crystal size decrease and the thermal stability falls due to its reduced thermal pyrolysis temperature.Moreover,its breaking strength is reduced but the breaking extension improved.

      The technique of high temperature degumming of hemp was researched,and the effect of temperature and concentration of alkali on the composition and structure of hemp was discussed.Scanning electron microscope(SEM),Fourier-Transform-Infrared(FT-IR) and wide angle X-ray scattering(WAXS) were used to characterize the morphology and structure of aggregating state of hemp before and after high temperature degumming.The experiment results demonstrated that after high temperature degumming the contents of hemicellulose and lignin of the hemp have reduced by 79.1% and 83.5% respectively.The crystallinity of treated hemp is raised,which is related to the treatment temperature and concentration of alkali.

      The conducting tube was studied with emphasis on the effect of the conducting tube′s shape and size on the breaking strength and anti-striping of the spun yarn through designing,experiments and analysis of the conducting tube.The results showed that the spun yarn has better strength and anti-striping property when the conducting tube undersurface′s length is 43 mm,the entrance′s heght is 30mm,the exit′s height is(24 mm,) the angle of the conducting tube undersurface and entrance side is 30°,the conducting tube exit′s width is 9 mm,the angle of the conducting tube upper side and entrance side is 148° and the conducting tube entrance′s width is 22 mm.

      Analysis of the fabric structure parameters shows that the main factors influencing the wrinkle resistance of the linen fabric include fabric structure,ratio of mixture,and fabric density.Wrinkle resistance of linen fabric can be improved by variation of fabric structure parameters and finishment,and by incorporating appropriate proportion of polyester.The wrinkle resistant effect of the linen and polyester mixture with a ratio of 2∶1 is very close to that of the pure linen fabric treated with citric acid,and its strength is obviously enhanced.

      Three kinds of process technology of spinning core-sheath filament/staple composite yarns on the ring spinning frame using rigid,flexible and elastic filaments were introduced.The classification,mixing mode and the structure of core-sheath filament/staple composite yarns were illuminated.An analysis of the migration mechanism of fibers and the unreeled conditions of rigid,flexible and elastic filaments was made,and the spinning parameters were analyzed and optimized.Then,the process technology of spinning core-sheath filament/staple composite yarns on the ring spinning frame using rigid,flexible and elastic filaments was put forward.Finally,the application of filament/staple composite yarns and their development prospect were discussed.

      This paper studied the ultrasonic technology applied in wool scouring with water.The effects of scouring temperature,time and dosage of detergent on the quality of the scoured wools of different diameter were investigated.The results were compared with that of the traditional wool scouring and it was found that the ultrasonic wool scouring can achieve the same quality level as the traditional,but it needs less time and has higher efficiency.However,it is observed by scanning electron microscope(SEM) that the ultrasonic process results in etching effect on wool scales,thus damaging them to certain extent.

      This paper discussed how to control the thickness of cotton lap with a fuzzy control system made up of single-chip processor.The system made use of program and applied fuzzy algorithm and control strategy.Its real-time data acquisition and control system consisted of keyboard,A/D or D/A converter,displacement sensor,motor and frequency governor.The old speed regulating system of the scutcher was replaced with the fuzzy control system which regulated the speed of cotton feeding roller of the scutcher in such a way that the cotton feeding in unit time was kept constant.The practical results show that it has improved the accuracy and dynamic response and reduced lap irregularity.

      To popularize the electronic let-off(ELO) and electronic take-up(ETU) control system on homemade loom and improve the quality of textiles,the article designed an ELO and ETU control system which can fulfill the required control function at a comparatively low cost.The system collects available signals of warp tension by choosing appropriate sampling time according to the loom′s axis angle,applies partial results of numeral proportional-integral-derivative(PID) control in programmable logic controller(PLC) software design by means of the built-in PID control function and the position function of PLC,and,coupled with AC servo system,accomplishes fast and accurate control of the rotating speed and direction of the servo electromotor,thus ensuring a uniform tension of the warps during weaving.The experiments of beating-up proved that the ELO and ETU control system runs stably and responds quickly,and that the warp tension is uniform and constant.

      In the face of globalized competition and buyer′s market,one after another successful retail organizations vie with each other to optimize their retail process by means of scientific methods and make exact sales projecting through scientific and rational market forecast.For projecting the sales of new garment products of the fashion industry,a three-step prediction model is proposed: 1) clustering of stores and determining the centre store of the group;2) choosing the stores for surveying;3) sales predicting.And through actual cases,a comparison between this model and the method now commonly used by the apparel company was made in respect to predicting error and cost,and it was found that this model is much better.

      In order to develop light-weight biological composite,a series of research on the fore-wing structures of beetles were conducted.The microstructures of the fore-wing and trabeculae of beetle were investigated through dissection of the fore_wings of the beetle,and their models were established.At the same time,two types of beetles are compared and the different structures of their fore_wings were made clear.Based on mechanical experiments and the analysis of the fore-wing structures of beetles,it is confirmed that there exist outstanding mechanical characteristics in the structures of fore-wing.Then with these achievements,a sandwich_like plate structure with high tenacity is proposed.

      The article introduces the appearance and characteristics,release mechanism and preparation method of microcapsulated dyestuff and reviews its application to textiles in recent years.Applications of this technology not only impart textiles novel appearance and special functions,but also effectively solve some problems existing in the dyeing and printing.And most importantly,assistant-free and washing-free dyeing of textiles with microcapsulated disperse dyes can be realized.

      This study on the folk skirts in Neoteric China was based on the collections in Folk Costume Studio of Southern Yangtze University.Comparisons of the female skirts in the central plain of Shanxi,southern mountainous areas of Anhui,southern areas of Yangtze River were made according to their formations,colors,fabrics and ornaments.Aesthetic and applicable values were analyzed.They reflect the delication of Chinese traditional handicraft art and persistence to beauty of Chinese people and demonstrate the rich,characteristic cultural essence of the folk clothing in these regins.
