The low temperature TiO2 sol with polystyrene (PS) microspheres as template for porous structure was coated on raw and alkali deweighting PET fibers by impregnation, and a series of photocatalytic TiO2/PET fibers were prepared. The TiO2 and fibers were characterized by XRD and SEM. The photocatalytic performance of TiO2/PET fibers was evaluated through degradation of methyl orange. The results indicated that nanometer anatase TiO2 with high photocatalytic activity was obtained after the sol aging. The TiO2 loading on PET fiber surface increased with the increasing proportion of TiO2 sol in impregnating solution. The alkali deweighting of PET fibers contributed to improving TiO2 loading and photocatalytic activity. With TiO2 loading rate increasing, the degradation rate of methyl orange increased from the beginning and then decreased slowly. The TiO2/PET fiber showed best photocatalytic activity with the loading rate of 4.2%. Porous TiO2 film due to PS as template can further enhance the specific surface area and the adsorption ability of photocatalytic fiber, so as to improve the photocatalytic activity.

In the past, we typically used Z score in the statistics analysis of the cotton-inspection-proficiency testing. But Z score has some limitations in the section of the reference number and analysis. Based on this problem, this paper will apply the grey clustering analysis which depends on the Trigonal Whitening Weight function to devide the cluster objects into better and general categories through taking the fourteen laboratories as the cluster objects and cotton’s upper half mean length of five cluster indicators. Through the theoretical and experimental validation in the statistical analysis of the testing, this method can be a statistical modal for the similar proficiency testing in the future.

Since the poor fiber selectivity of water-jet weaving lead to the difficulty of increasing fabric variety, the new ways to design fabrics creatively by applying TRIZ theory was explored in this paper. The TRIZ principle in solving technical contradiction was introduced. The technical characteristic of water-jet weaving and the urgency of enhancing the added value of fabrics at present was expounded, thus concluding the technical contradiction in designing water-jet woven fabrics. The corresponding principle of innovation was found out by using the TRIZ contradiction table. Therefore the new ways of fabrics designing was proposed, being described as follows: According with the principle of non-homogeneous, the non-homogeneous structure and appearance fabrics can be designed and developed. Applying the concept of intelligence polyurethane shape memory fabrics and conductive fabrics can be designed and developed. Using the idea of lighter , thinner and softer, we can use fiber with lower linear density and more filaments, make full use of non-spandex elastic fibers in fabrics designing, and to develop fabrics which are made up of nylon-polyester composite filament applying the non-splitting and non-sanding processing method.

In order to summarize the damage behavior of the unidirectional composite subjected to high-velocity impact, which will benefit to the structural design of impact-resistance materials. The response and damage of unidirectional composite in the levels of yarn and resin at different impact velocity were calculated by finite element modeling and analysis. The impact resistance properties of unidirectional composite are illustrated by analyzing the deflection-time curves, stress-time curves and damage morphologies under different impact velocities. During the process of high-velocity impact, the amplitudes of stress and deflection decreased all the time due to the impact energy absorbed and dissipated by the unidirectional composite. In addition, the damage of resin and breakage of fiber tows were the main damage modes of unidirectional composite under impact loading. Furthermore, the damage on bottom surface of the composite was more serious than that on top surface owing to their different load-bearing modes.

The interaction of cationic dye with polymer emulsion was analyzed using conductivity and surface tension measurements. The results show that adding X-GRL concentration lower than its aggregation concentration to the polymer emulsion could increase the conductivity of mixed emulsion and, adding polymer emulsion to X-GRL solution higher than its aggregation concentration could also increase the conductivity of the mixed solution. The conductivity of the mixture of polymer emulsion with X-RL solution which the concentration was much higher than its aggregation concentration was lower than those of X-GRL solutions with same concentration, which indicates the adsorption of X-GRL on the surface of polymer latex reducing the conductivity of latex. And, the surface tension of the mixture was lower than those of the dye solution and the polymer emulsion due to the formation of a complex of dye ion and surfactant in the emulsion at the air / liquid interface.

To improve the transmission performance of raising machine is one of the important ways of enhancing the raising style and quality of fabric. According to the working principle and the required raising process parameters, the transmission system of raising machine is innovatively designed for large torque and smooth driving by using of the transmitting features of helical gears. The designed system is analyzed and calculated with kinematics and dynamics, and the finite element analysis for the helical gears contact and the static of needle roller is carried out based on the ANSYS 10.0. The result showed that the meshing of helical gears is a large torque and smooth transmitting process of gradually entering and withdrawing, and the contact stress and strain are small enough to meet the design requirements; In the course of transmission, the needle roller was forced equably with small stress and deformation, so as to guarantee the raising quality requirements of fabric. So, the large torque and smooth transmission system is developed with advantages of higher dynamic performance and stability, and it was considered as a certain significance to realize the style diversification of raising machine efficiently.

In dyeing production technology of classical dyeing machines, there existed problems such as the consistency of dyeing technology, the dyeing quality and the energy consumption per unit could be seriously affected by human factor. In order to resolve these problems, a kind of Networked Monitoring System for Overflow Dyeing Machines was put forward. In this system, by being networked with each others through RS485 bus, the dyeing controllers were utilized to be slave controllers. The master control computer with system monitoring software was configured. The centralize monitoring functions of sending down the parameters of dyeing production technology to dyeing machines, remote display of dynamical running status, saving historical data, and error analysis were realized. It is approved by the test case that the maximum dyeing errors can be controlled in 0.5%, the time used in dyeing can be reduced for 5-8 minutes, and the power consumption can be 15% lower according to the test case.
