To investigate the effect of different core-sheath thickness ratios of core-sheath TiO2/ZnO nanofibers on the photoelectric performance of dye sensitized solar cell, core-sheath TiO2/ZnO nanofibers with different thickness ratios was fabricated by coaxial electrospinning via controlling spinning core-sheath solution flow rate ratios. Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD) were used to characterize the core-sheath nanofibers. The results revealed that the nanofiber is composed of wurtzite ZnO as sheath and anatase TiO2 as core. Then, the TiO2/ZnO core-sheath nanofibrous membranes acted as photo-anode material to assemble dye sensitized solar cells. At last, we found that when the skin core spinning flow rate ratio is 1:1, the diameter of core-sheath nanofibers is about 154 nm and core layer is about 90 nm in diameter, the dye adsorption amount is the largest and the DSSC based on the core-sheath nanofibers has the highest efficiency of 5.47%, it is 22% higher comparing with DSSC based on the TiO2 nanofibers.

In the experiment, the PVC-coated membrane material was use as the study object. The material was been irradiated for a long time under the UVB-313 ultraviolet fluorescence tubes. Under this artificial accelerated agering condition, the service properties was been studied. In the course of the experiment, macroscopic examination was applied to the surface color and mechanical properties of the material. The microstructure was analyzed through the Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). The experiment shows that with the volatilization of plasticizer on the material surface, the Carbonyl Index (CI) first down and then up. The degree of ageing is gradually deepended, a large number of small crack appeared on the PVC film surface. Due to the PVC coating cracking, the breaking elongation of the PVC material increased significantly, but tensile strength hadn’t been changed much after the cumulative UV radiation energy reached 76.03×103 kJ/m2. This shows that with the deepening of ageing, the adhesion effect of PVC coating to the polyester fabric is getting smaller.

In order to investigate the effects of loading mode on the tension-resistance performance of the uni-directional composite, the micro-structure finite element models of the uni-directional composites were established by using the finite element software ABAQUS (version: 6.10) according to the two loading modes, i.e., the tensile direction is parallel/perpendicular to the axial direction of the yarn. And the vertical and horizontal deflection-time curves, load distribution and progressive deflection evolution under a constant loading condition were calculated. By analyzing the calculation results, it was found that the loading mode has a distinct impact on the mechanical behavior of the uni-directional composite. The composite shown the better tension-resistance performance when the tensile direction was parallel to the axial direction of the yarn. In addition, to obtain the best mechanical performance when designing the tension-resistance composites, it was recommended to make the loading direction parallel to the axial direction of the fibers or yarn reinforcements.

For the purpose of effective recovery of terephthalic acid (TPA) from the waster of polyester alkali deweighting finishing, adductive crystallization method was applied to separate the TPA from the wastewater residue, using N, N-dimethylformamide (DMF) as solvent to dissolve the TPA. Then the solution was distilled to remove most of the DMF and adductive crystallization product of TPA and DMF was obtained, which was formed in the cooling process of the distilled solution. Then the TPA was obtained through drying the adductive crystallization product to remove the DMF. The functional groups in the recovered products were identified by infra-red spectrum (IR), and the purity and acid value were determined by UV spectrophotometer and acid value titration, respectively. When the distillation temperature is 164 ℃ and the drying temperature is 105 ℃, the purity of recovered TPA is close to that of the standard TPA reagent, and the acid value reaches 96.8% of the standard TPA reagent. The research shows that the drying temperature has effect on the recovered TPA, and the TPA in alkali deweighting wastewater can be recovered effectively by using DMF solvent through adductive crystallization method.

Liquid ammonia treated-cotton was treated with maleic-itaconic acid easy care finishing agent containing nano-particles with different sizes. The breaking strength, wrinkle recovery angles, tearing strength, whiteness and surface topography of treated-fabrics were tested, and the synergistic effect of between the nano-particles and the softener were discussed. The results show that nano-particles can enhance the breaking strength of liquid ammonia treated cotton fabrics, and have subtle effect on the whiteness of fabrics. The addition of nano-silica with particle size of 30nm can reduce the wrinkle recovery angles and tearing strength of the fabrics, while the addition of polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) with particle size of 1.5nm can improve the wrinkle recovery angles without significantly affecting tearing strength of fabrics. The difference easy care properties of fabric was because particles with different sizes can penetrate into different areas of the fibres. Easy care cotton fabrics with excellent physical and mechanical properties can be obtained by finishing with 60 g/L maleic-itaconic acid easy care finishing agent containing 2% POSS and then using 20 g/L softener.

White colors comprise approximately 3% of the total volume of CIELAB color space, but the relative importance of white materials is much larger than perhaps the small volumetric sector that represents white in the CIELAB color space. Numerous fiber materials contain yellowish impurities which are natural or formed in production. Such yellowish impurities significantly impair materials' whiteness. Hence, chemical bleaching and fluorescent whitening are often performed to improve materials' whiteness. In order to increase production effectiveness of white materials, researchers have developed whiteness indexes based on visual evaluation of white materials for instrumental measurement of whiteness. However, the instrumental measurement has been found to be not so accurate for whiteness evaluation, especially for measuring fluorescent whiteness. This paper mainly discussed the correlation between the instrumental measurement and the visually perception of fluorescent whitened textiles, and highlighted the possible factors affecting the instrumentally measured whiteness of fluorescent whitened textiles. A research project was proposed to optimize the correlation between the instrumental measurement and the visually perception of fluorescent whitened textiles and thus to improve the accuracy of the instrumentally measured whiteness of fluorescent whitened textiles. This paper provides new insight into the whiteness evaluation of fluorescent whitened textiles by enhancing the correlation between the instrumental measurement and the visually perception of fluorescent whitened textiles.

The patterns were obtained using garment CAD system and stored into DXF which can be loaded from DXF file interface program. And the patterns were meshed based on the regular grid method and the triangulation was completed through linking the diagonal of the quadrilateral. Then the mass-spring model was established in which the vertex was the mass and the edge was the spring. Finally, the stress analysis and numerical solution were employed to finish the 2-D patterns virtual simulation. The patterns of man’s vest were adopted for experiment to verify the validity of the regular grid method and realize the 2-D patterns dropped on the desk and virtual-stitching of the vest.
