The spinning liquid is prepared by dissolving synthetic resin into dimethyl acetylamide(DMAc) with potential crosslinking agent FJLJ in substitution for traditional chemical crosslinking agent and then spun into fibers.The fibers are treated to impart them three dimensional network structures,thus copolymethacrylate fiber(CPMAF) with oil absorption function is obtained.By controlling the monomer ratio,crosslinking agent concentration and crosslinking conditions,a copolymer fiber which has better absorptive ability and quick absorptive speed for specific kinds of oil is prepared,whose per gram fiber maximum absorbency of kerosene,toluene and chloroform is 8.00 g kerosene/g fiber,15.00 g toluene/g fiber and(34.75 g chloroform/g fiber) respectively.The structures of the copolymer(CPMA) and the fiber(CPMAF) are examined by dynamic mechanical analysis(DMA),thermogravimetric analysis(TG),differential scanning calorimetry(DSC),gel permeation chromatography(GPC) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM).

Apart from the explicit damage(fiber breaking),fiber-length will be damaged and shortened in top-making by the implicit damage,i.e.fiber hooking and bending.Using a two-end sampling fiber method from a top,two fiber bundle samples,each with one end flush and uniform,are obtained and called sample A & sample B respectively,and from them the length characteristics for analysis of implicit damage of fiber can be got.Implicit damage of fiber can be effectively characterized by the difference rate and the damage percentage determined by the length characteristics.The test results indicate that the fiber hooking rate can be reduced,but there still exist 40% remnants of the hooking fibers,i.e.3%~7% hooking fibers left in tops,and the more sensitive and stable parameters to evaluate the implicit damage are the difference rates calculated from short fiber content(SFC),Hauteur length and Barbe length.

In order to obtain various 3D cellular woven fabrics with different warp-wise cross sections,the orthogonal structure was used as the basic structural unit.3D integrated cellular structures were designed with different length and depth of the hollow space and were woven successfully on the modified conventional loom.The structural characteristics and weaving methods of samples were compared and analyzed.Factors influencing the hollow size were discussed.This research can be used as references to the structure design of 3D orthogonal integrated cellular woven fabrics.All the 3D cellular woven fabrics designed herein can be used as the reinforced structures of honeycomb composites.

In view of the varied weft density of sparse-dense fabric,a sectional input of the weft distribution information is presented.The method first introduces the conception of simple weft distribution section in which the change pattern of weft density is simple,definite and can be predefined,and further divides a weft density variation unit into several simple weft distribution sections,thus solving the input problem of the information concerning the varied weft density.According to the above method,a software program is worked out,by which the desired weft distribution pattern of the fabric can be input into the loom control system.Several commonly used weft density variation rules are predefined,and the expression for each rule is given.Moreover,the weft density function which varies as the length within the range of a prescribed length of fabric is constructed,and the algorithm of determining the take-up value for each weft yarn according to the weft density function is given.

Content of cadmium of textile samples collected on domestic market was determined and the content characteristic was investigated by statistical techniques.The polymorphism of data of cadmium content was analyzed using kernel density estimation,and according to the feature of abnormal distribution,bootstrap method was used to simulate re-sampling of the sample.The standing value and standard deviation of cadmium content of these samples obtained by bootstrap re-sampling method served as a sound base for the estimation of the standing value and standard deviation of one of the samples being examined.It was clearly demonstrated by experiments that the above method is rational and effective,providing a new probe to representing the content of banned and restricted substance in risk evaluation of products used in textiles.

Subdivision of body shape is the foundation for digital processing and marketing of garments.Breast shape is the critical factor influencing the fitness and comfort of women′s wear.In order to provide a scientific basis for preparing and perfecting women garment size systems,it is necessity to make a subdividing evaluation of female breast shapes.For this reason,270 young ladies,aged from 18 to 30,born and grown up in the west part of China,were measured by means of the 3-D Interactive Body Scanning Instrument(TecMath).The statistic data of the measurements were processed and analyzed,and according to the characteristic indexes,the female breast shapes were subdivided into 9 types.This provides technological parameter for designing the bras,intimate and made-to-measure(MTM) garments.

The paper analyzed the characteristics of sewing machine control system and presented the pulse-width modulation strategy for the bridge-type switch in the main circuit.The brake torque of the motor of the sewing machine was discussed.On analysis of the torque ripple caused by the PWM modes,a novel control scheme,which was composed of the commutation current compensation,was proposed for high-speed flat sewing machine to suppress the commutation torque ripples and improve the precise control of the needle position.The experimental results verified the validity and reliability of the proposed method.

Aiming at the drawbacks of the traditional way for cocoon evaluation,a measurement method for cocoon superficial area was advanced based on the technology of machine vision.It employed the system of machine vision to obtain the cocoon image,advanced segmentation using the way of Otsu for the image character of gray value distribution.Assuming that cocoon is ellipsoid,cocoon superficial area can be calculated by the long axis and short axis of cocoon region.Using the value of elliptical long axis and short axis determined by minimum enclosing rectangle based on cocoon edge image,the cocoon superficial area at discretional vertiginous angle can be measured.The experiment result indicated that the method is effectively,offering a basis for scientific evaluation of cocoon.

The theory and method of fractal are applied to study the correlation between spinning finishes and PET staple fiber.The morphology and the frictional properties of oiled staple fibers are investigated from the point of their micro-structure and mechanism.By calculating the fractal dimensions of fibers with different oil pick up,the distribution of finishes on fiber surface is quantitatively evaluated,the complicated and non-linear process of the forming of oil emulsion drop size is elucidated,and the morphology of binary oil on the surface of PET staple fiber during different stages of spinning is judged.Therefore,the conditions of applying spinning finishes can be optimized and the risk of applied experiments can be lessened.

Polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) with high molecular weight and high purity is rather difficult to be bio-degraded in the natural environment and to satisfy the requirement of self cleaning of the water system.For improving its biodegradability,hydrogen peroxide and Fe<sup>2+</sup> system is used to oxide the hydroxyl groups of PVA,thus facilitating the breakage of the main chain of PVA.The oxidative modification reaction conditions are determined through studying the dynamics of oxidation and measuring the molecular weight.Infrared spectrophotometry study has proved that oxidative reaction has rendered PVA the ketone-ketone structure which is necessary for biodegradation,and ultraviolet spectrophotometry is used to determine the biodegrability of the modified PVA.The results indicate that proper oxidation of PVA can significantly improve its biodegradability.

In order to make full use of tropical agricultural biotic resources and make up raw material shortage for textile industry in China,enzymatic degumming of pineapple leaf fibre was explored in both theoretical and practical aspects. Purified pectase with high enzymatic activity from a strain screened by us was used.It was shown that the optimal result of degumming could be achieved when reaction conditions were pectinase dosage 8%,pH value 7.0,(52 ℃) and treated for 4 hours.A post_treatment after degumming with xylanase for 45 min and following treatment with H_2O_2 for 15 min would yield fiber qualified for textile utilization.

This paper studied the effect of alkali treatment on morphological structure and mechanical properties of PTT,PET fiber through SEM,loss of weight,tensile curve and resilient-elasticity recovery.The experiment results show that hightemperature alkali treatment can make surface of PTT fiber dissolve to form a lot of micro-holes,and bring about much more loss of mechanical properties than room-temperature alkali treatment.Alkali resistance of PET fiber is superior to that of PTT fiber in room-temperature,but in high-temperature alkali resistance of PTT fiber is superior to that of PET fiber.Through alkali treatment in appropriate temperature and concentration,PTT fiber can maintain high mechanical properties.

The fiber conveyor is a key component of the disc swirl spinning frame.It can convey,unwind,and separate fibers.Five kinds of fiber conveyors were designed, and distributions of flow field in the fiber conveyors were analyzed by means of numerical simulation,the relations between the distributions of flow field in fiber conveyors and yarn qualities were investigated.Spinning tests were also made to validate the results.It is proved that yarn qualities can be improved by reducing the included angle between bottom surface and level,or by choosing a fit ratio of outlet area to inlet area,since the distribution of flow field in fiber conveyor is modified in this way.

An indirect method is developed to determine the bending property of fabrics based on the actual bending shape of the fabric under gravity after reviewing the existing research on bending behavior and bending test methods of fabrics.By applying least squares polynomial regression and numerical differentiation techniques,the data of actual bending shape of fabric under its own weight are computed and used to construct the moment-curvature,bending stiffness-curvature relationship.This calculation and test method have been validated by experimental observations and correlation with KES test method.

For the purpose of reuse of dye waste water,a new method is introduced in this paper,in which first use orthogonal experiments to confirm that the main factor influencing the conductivity of dye waste water is the concentration of sodium sulfate.And then,a model of sodium sulfate concentration-conductivity is developed based on the least-square curve fitting of the experiment data,and Fibonacci optimum selection algorithm is used to optimize the obtained model.Finally,the residual quantity of sodium sulfate in the dye waste water can be estimated more accurately by this new method.

Using FR-PN-G,a synergistic flame retardant,to treat the jute/polypropylene fiber needle felt,and optimized the concentration of flame retardant,dipping time,dip pressing times by using orthogonal test.The optimum processing parameters were determined: concentration of flame retardant is(450 g/L,) dipping time is(20 min,) dip pressing times is 2.The flame retardant finishing of the jute/polypropylene fiber needle felt was performed by using these processing parameters,and as showed in the following test results that the best overall flame retardant effect has been achieved: its LOI is 35.2%,char length is(40 mm,)after flame time is(0 min),afterglow time is(0 min,)tensile strength is (24.95 MPa,) and bending strength is(30.27 MPa.)

Considering the fact that the intelligent technology are not advanced when using CAD for developing paper pattern system,an automatic pattern design system characterized by being visual and easy to operate is proposed.It makes use of parameterized design principle and combines body shape features with structural characteristics.Simulation of garment structural lines,digital expression of the structure and description of specialist knowledge are completed by mathematical function analogue.Parameterized design governs the garment size systems,and design variation is executed by input of new parameters.This design method provides a technological basis for realization of an artificial intelligent paper pattern design revising system.

Spinning and weaving were carried out with organic/inorganic flame-retardant viscose fibers along with chemical treatment under various conditions,and the Al content in the organic/inorganic flame-retardant viscose fibers before and after treatments were determined by atomic absorption spectrometry.According to the variations of Al content,the influence of spinning,weaving and chemical treatment on flame-retardant property of the fibers was analyzed.The result demonstrated that different chemical agents,and spinning and weaving processes have impact on the Al content in organic/inorganic flame-retardant viscose fibers,of which,alkali is the most important factor,and acid,oxidant,reducing agent,salt,as well as spinning and weaving lower Al content slightly.

With the help of the electron microscope and scanning electron microscope,profiled polyester fibers with cross section shaped just like"Y","+" and "CO" were analyzed respectively.Four kinds of single and double-faced knit fabrics with different structures and density were manufactured with the profiled polyester fibers,and their wicking height,water retention and drying efficiency were investigated individually.It is found that more abnormal the fiber cross-section,better the moisture-transfer and fast drying properties of its fabric,i.e.,"CO"> "+"> "Y".

The flame_retardant property of Nomex/Lenzing Viscose FR blended fabric was studied.The blend fabrics with different ratio of the two fibers were determined by the vertical flame test and their flame_retardant property was analyzed by limiting oxygen index(LOI) method.The results disclose that the blended fabric of two fibers have better flame_retardant property than that of pure fabric of each fiber.The advantages of Nomex/Lenzing Viscose FR blended fabric include the enhancing of the flame_retardant property,improvement of the spinnability of yarn,and reduction of cost.

Shape memory polyurethanes with different concentrations were applied on nonwoven fabric by using coating technology,and the surface structure,shape and wrinkle retention,air and moisture permeability,and tensile strength of the nonwoven fabrics before and after coating were tested.The results showed that the coated nonwoven fabrics have good shape memory and better crease resistance.The less content of polyurethane has little effect on the moisture vapor transmission of the coated fabric,but results in marked decline of its air permeability.

Three kinds of hydrophilic polyurethane coating agents with different structures and components were synthesized for the sake of investigating the relationships between its application property,physio-chemical structure,and components.Several representative properties of the coated fabric,for example,moisture permeability,and water repellency were tested.Furthermore,the micro-structure and surface property of the polyurethanes were studied by wide angle X-ray diffraction(WAXD) and surface tension/contact angle testing instruments.The findings show that the moisture permeability and water repellency of the coated fabric mainly depend on the content of hydrophilic ether group and the proportion of the hard segment to the soft in polyurethane.

A kind of microcapsule was researched and applied to improve the breathability of the coated fabric.In-Situ Limited Coalescence Polymerization was employed to prepared microcapsules,using MMA as wall material and water as core.The processing parameters in the preparation were optimized by the orthogonal design method.The influence of several factors,including shell materials,emulsifier initiator etc,on the microcapsule′s size,size distribution and other performances were discussed.Then the microcapsules were mixed with the finishing agents and applied in the coating experiment.The result showed that the breathability of the coated fabric was improved to a certain extent.

Having carried out the anion coating finish of the fabric and standardization of anion-testing method,the effects of category and particle size of tourmaline,fiber category,temperature and humidity on anion-generating capacity are analyzed to illustrate the relationships between anion-generating capacity and the above factors.The results reveal that anion-generating capacity of anion linen fabric coated by schorl is superior to that by elbaite or dravite;finer the particle size,greater the anion-generating capacity.In the case of the result of the treatment,linen anion fabric is the better,followed by in this order: linen/cotton(fabric>)cotton fabric>linen/viscose fabric.Anion generating amount increases non-linearly with temperature rising and tends to saturation and increases approximate linearly with humidity increase.

Martindale was used to test the pilling property of 29 kinds of knitted fabric.The test results were assessed by the traditional subjective evaluation by experts and other methods such as the total weight of the pills per unit area,the pills per unit area,and the average weight of pills,and a comparative analysis was conducted.It was found that the method of cutting and weighing pills of unit area has the greatest correlation with the traditional subjective evaluation method and the advantages of being objective,exact,and convenient.Therefore,it can be used as an objective method for evaluating the pilling property of knitted fabrics,whereas the methods of measuring pills number per unit area and average weight of pills are not suitable to evaluate the knitted fabric pilling property.

The goal of this study is to solve the problems encountered in the hydrogen peroxide bleaching of flax such as difficulty of obtaining the desired whiteness,and the toxic organic chloride AOX associated with the process,which is harmful to human body and the environment.Experiments of hydrogen peroxide bleaching of flax yarn with ACTIRON~ABO were performed and the process was optimized.The results indicated that adding of ACTIRON~ABO to the bleaching residual liquor can effectively accelerate the bleaching liquor to penetrate into the inside of the flax,at the same time the residual hydrogen peroxide in the bleaching liquor will further decompose,thus achieving the best bleaching effect of the flax yarn.This facilitates the improvement of the whiteness of flax yarn and protection of the environmental.

Having expounded the moisture transmitting ways of the fabric,the article analyzed the properties of moisture absorption and wet wicking and the mechanism of moisture transmittance of the fabric,and deduced the formula of the total flow of capillary water transport.The cross section of pentalobal polyester fiber_coolfibre and its wicking ability were introduced and regression equation between the wicking time and the wicking height was derived.The fabric material and its geometric structure from the fabric inside to outside for rapid wicking perspiration were suggested.In this study,Coolfibre polyester filament was used as warp to form a warp-faced fabric so as to keep a dry microclimate between skin and fabric.For the purpose of providing useful reference for the development of dry fabrics,five kinds of fabric have been designed and analyzed with respect to the strength and extension,air permeability,moisture absorption,wicking height,moisturizing capacity,and drying.

The needle bar and the thread-taking-up are main mechanism to form the thread trace of the embroidery in computerized embroidery machine,exerting great impact on the forming of high quality thread trace of the embroidery.This paper deals with the study of the original thread-taking-up mechanism and sets out a new design of periphery cam with flat-bottomed pusher style thread-taking-up mechanism while maintaining the movement regularity of the original thread-taking-up mechanism.It deduces the theoretic design equation,gets the contour curve of the periphery cam,and manufactures the new-model thread-taking-up mechanism for computerized embroidery machine.Experiments of the new mechanism prove that it possesses excellent working performance.

In order to find effective methods to combine silver ions with base material,this paper analyzed the structures and properties of various silver compounds currently available on the international market,and introduced the preparing methods of various silver-contained wound dressings on the world market.Results showed that since it has a low antimicrobial activity,metallic silver should have very fine particle size and be incorporated into the base material on its surface so that silver compounds can exchange ions with exudates from the wound,making silver ions easy to release.Because of the large varieties of silver compounds and base materials,silver-contained wound dressings differ significantly in their functional properties.

Based on the actual investigation of the batik on African market,some special cultural symbols on batiks of Aken and Adinkra peoples in African mainland were collected,classified and interpreted.These cultural symbols′ function in the life of the African society was studied in the viewpoint of the humanities and it was considered that most of them were originated from themes of African proverbs and they were visual symbols familiar to the African people,expressing the democratic consciousness in the political life of African black people and serving as one of non-language succession manners of the African black culture.

Dispersal is the character of customer resource management of the textile machinery sector and the customer relationship management(CRM) system is badly in need in enterprises of the sector.Owing to the fact that customization and reconfiguration of CRM system are feasible,we have developed an information system based on B/S mode and four-tier architecture in the light of web application framework(WAF)using java after analyzing the detachable components used in CRM system,thereby realizing the customization and reconfiguration of CRM. It can satisfy different requirements of individual enterprise and dynamic recombination of operation flows,and fast establish CRM links with other enterprises.The information system has been put into operation in enterprises and proven effective.
